Securing the SMAS Application

SMAS User Password Protection - CST Lockbox
Initial smc user and password is stored on the SMAS server in a
RSA-secured vault called the CST lockbox
The CST lockbox is tied to CPUID and MAC of SMAS Server
CST makes cloning a SMAS Server VMware template difficult
Deploy SMAS Virtual Appliance when multiple SMAS instances are
required in a VMware environment
Additional local users can be created and assigned specific permissions
These users and passwords are stored in CST
When creating additional users, SMAS can utilize existing LDAP and
Windows AD environments authentication.
LDAP and AD users are not stored in CST
LDAP can be over SSL
