TURBINE START UP TABLES

The following tables have been formulated to give a comparative reference

of the important turbine side activities against important parameters for
bringing up of a unit up to full load. The time at which HP and LP bypass
warm up pipes are cut in is used as a reference for further turbine side
activities. The HP and LP bypass are expected to be cut in after the boiler
has been fired and the corresponding parameters have been achieved.

NOTES:1. Aux Steam is available from external source.

2. Steam Temperature downstream of HP Bypass need not be regulated by spray
until the main steam temperature is above 300 deg. Then HP Bypass
downstream temperature may be regulated to 230 deg.
3. The D/A drawn from CRH is expected to be cut in after synchronization and at
least 20% loading is done. HP heaters may be cut in afterwards at 30% load.
4. SH spray need not be used for controlling SH temperature until the boiler flow is
160 T/H. SH and RH temperature may be regulated and allowed to rise along
the suggested curve at higher loads.
