Find Back Your Nokia Phone Security Code

Many Nokia phone users forgot their phone security code and might charge fee for service in
order to regain back the code from phone store. Now here's a guide of how you can find back
your Nokia phone security code by yourself. I've written this guide very long time ago on other
website which is no longer updating anymore. So this guide will work on most older Nokia
phones, especially BB5 type phone. Hope this guide helps and save you a few bucks. Now, let's
start on how to regain back your forgotten security code.
Tools Required:

Nemesis Service Suite (NSS)

Nokia PC Suite

Data cable

Regain Your Security Code Steps:


1. Install Nokia PC Suite
2. Install Nemesis Service Suite (NSS)
3. Connect your phone to your PC with data cable. If the phone ask for connection mode,
choose default mode or PC Suite mode (But don't open Nokia PC Suite).
4. Open Nemesis Service Suite (NSS)
5. Click scan for new devices button (on top right corner of NSS)
6. Click Phone Info button

7. Click Scan button


8. Click Permanent Memory tab
9. Click Read button
10. It will read the permanent memory file and save it on the hard disk at following path.
C:\Program Files\NSS\Backup\pm\.pm
11. Open the .pm file using Notepad
12. Now scroll down until field [308] and on the 5th Record (5=), your security code is saved
at there.
13. For example, 5=31323334350000000000
14. Just ignore the red colour font. So, 12345 is your security code.

Reset Nokia Security Code With NSS pro

Previously, I've written how to recover a forgotten Nokia security code and reset Nokia security
code using Nemesis Service Suite (NSS). Although NSS still works flawless for supported Nokia
devices, this software has been discontinued. NSS unable to use Ovi Suite latest drivers. In
addition, NSS it will show 'Scan for product....error' because of the unsupported drivers. There
will be no more new updates for NSS. So it never will work for newer Nokia phones. However,
there is a newer software called NssPro which supports newer Nokia devices. Most importantly,
it works just like the NSS reset the Nokia security code.

You'll need:

Nokia PC Suite/Ovi Suite

NSS pro (Nokia Service Software)

USB data cable

Steps to reset Nokia security code:


1. Install the latest Nokia PC Suite/Ovi Suite.
2. Connect your phone to computer via USB data cable, and choose PC Suite or Ovi mode.
3. Open NSS pro. UPDATE: Right click NSS pro, Run as administrator.
4. Click Read Info and you will see your phone details on left side.
5. To enter phone test mode. Choose Test Mode on bottom right and click the right arrow
button (>) to reboot phone.
6. Under Factory Settings, choose Full Factory and click Reset.
7. Done.

Forgot your Nokia handset security code? Or you don't even have any idea what is your security
code of second hand handphone because the previous owner has changed the code. For Nokia
BB5 phone, you can regain the security code back by following this guide. Or, you can just reset
your Nokia security code to default code, 12345. The guide below will shows you how to reset
the security code.
Tools you will need:

Nemesis Service Suite (NSS)

Nokia PC Suite

Data cable

Reset Security Code Steps:


1. Install Nokia PC Suite
2. Install Nemesis Service Suite (NSS)
3. Connect your phone to your PC with data cable. If the phone ask for connection mode,
choose default mode or PC Suite mode (But don't open Nokia PC Suite)
4. Open Nemesis Service suite (NSS)
5. Click scan for new devices button (on top right corner of NSS)

6. Click Phone Info button.


7. Click Scan button.
8. Under Power Mode, click Local and then click Change button. At this part, your phone
should restart, and you should see the text Local mode across your phone screen.
9. Under Production Data Edit, click Read button. The textboxes should now contain
values.
10. Check the Enable check box beside Product Code.
11. Click Write button.
12. Select Tools button on top
13. Click Factory Settings tab
14. Tick Full Factory button and click Reset button.
15. Final step, go back to Phone Info and click Normal then Change. Now your security
code is 12345.
