equals approximately 405 truckloads of
Biosolids from Okanagan and Lower
Mainland that we have held back from
being dumped here! Do you know how
many tons of toxic waste that is? Think
about it.
I would say we are doing a good job,
and that we need to continue on with our
fight against this issue! The approval of
the Dry Lake dumping site is a slap in
the face after our continuous efforts in
stopping this contamination. Any day
now, they will start the construction of
the road to Dry Lake...keep your eyes
open, people! Time to step things up!

in firefighting efforts. The worst fire season was 1958 when fires burned 859,000
hectares. In 1961, when 483,000 hectares were burned.
