1.0.
INTRODUCTION
1.1 The Fans commissioning work shall be taken up after completion of installation, ,
associated ductwork and necessary electrical cabling works.
1.2 The fansshall be tested for various performance parameters such as air flow, static
pressure, noise vibration etc.,
1.3 Operation of the starters through BMS system shall alsotested.
1.4 The HRW units, Kitchen exhaust fan, Battery exhaust fan, Pantry exhaust are also be
tested in similar fashion.
1.5 All instruments, documents, tools, tackles, ladders, access platforms, personnel,
required for the purpose of testing are to bemade available by the vendor.

3.0.
METHODOLOGY
3.1 The Fans have to be commissioned after completion of installation, necessary ducting
connections, electrical work and pre-commissioning checks.
3.2 Pre-Commissioning checks included:
a. Checking that the Fan is installed as per the room layout.
b. The Fan has been fitted out with pre-commissioning filters(if required).
c. Ductwork with outlet damper and flexible connections is completed.
d. Pulley diameters are as per design.
e. Motor and fan blower rotate freely without touching any unintended surfaces.
f. All clearances for accessing the filters, motors, damperselectrical panels exist as
per manufacturers recommendations.
g. Starter panel with bypass is installed.
h. Over load current settings are made appropriately in the starter.
i. Cabling and earthing for the motor, bulkhead lamp, control wiring for door limit
switch is completed(for cabinet type fans).
