help. I am attaching for E&C.

4. Whenever preparations are going on, keep listing the formulae for
easy reference & rattofy them daily
If we dont do this step... our all prep is of not much use. Because
the subjects we study earlier will be completely forgotten. For
quick revision - It is a MUST to have a notebook with short notes.
What to note? Important formulae/concept/ideas - which we may
forget. Something is very well known - dont write. First time we
have come across with some concepts which are important - MUST be written.
5. Prepare solidly & keep contineously revising 6. Try to solve the
previous papers for at least TWICE 7. Have somebody to monitor your
studies and schedule - In my case, HG Sarvatma Pr was overlooking my
studies 8. In case of priorities, I will prefer to revise than to
study half heartedly a new topic in time-crunch situation 9. Take
blessings of seniors/mentor ( in my case : it was HG Radheshyam
Prabhu, by his kindness.....)
Type -2 are the devotees (as marked CC) who are working , done their
ME/MTech/MCA etc and are requring GATE score as a substitute for PhD
entrance test. These devotees need only qualifying scores.
Based on TPC - they can adopt some of the steps as you have
mentioned above. The following things prabhu, i feel will surely
help all devotees who want to write GATE.
Prev yr q-papers.
Heavy practice - solve as many questions as possible from one of the
materials (GATE FORUm/ACE/MADE EASY/ GK Publishers). GATE FORUM has
exhaustive material. More practice better it becomes.
Write GATE FORUM TEST SERIES - very helpful.
There are many ways in which we could give these tests.
a. By going to a centre allocated for us and writing in a real time
kind of environment
b. correspondence - they will send all the 10 q-papers in one shot.
Every week we need to write one exam on our own and update through
online our scores.
First one is much better as we take it seriously. Second one is not
so bad if the first one is really not possible. But needs to be
seriously writing exams with keeping track of time and prmtly
filling the online OMR sheet the same day and updating. WE GET

RESULTS (A DUMMY AIR ) in a week time.

We should not be discouraged if we get less scores in exams. The
exams expose our weak areas and the next week that follows - utilize
time to make that area strong. The next exam would expose some other
weak areas
- again go back and become strong in those areas. Just like
Krishna's tests :-)
PRACTICE PRACTICE and PRACTICE. PRAY PRAY and PRAY. [I was mercy
case I did not do any of the two properly]
Thank you prabhu for giving me some seva. Forgive me for the delay.

Gokul
