LESSON PRESENTATION

Introduction/Motivational Activities/Anticipatory Set:

Students will create a Prezi presentation and present it to the class to serve as a chapter
review.
Detailed Teaching Sequence:
(Provide sufficient detail that would enable a substitute to effectively present this lesson. Bulleted
statements are preferred)
• The teacher will assign topics from chapter 9 for the students to create a review
presentation using the Prezi website.
• The teacher will ask students to create an outline in class as a map to what topics
will be highlighted in Prezi.
• Students will be introduced to the Prezi website and its capabilities.
• Students will create a Prezi that will include at least three images and minimal
text to present to the class.
• Upon completing the Prezi, students will be asked to plan and rehearse for a 5
minute presentation of their topic.
• Students will be encouraged to ask the presenters questions to clarify any areas of
uncertainty.

Guided Practice/Independent Practice/Assessment Activities

Students will be assessed by their demonstration of knowledge of their section and their
ability to convey the review information to their peers. Students will also be assessed on
their completion of the Prezi website. They will be graded on organization, presentation,
and visual appeal.
