Content Delivery
Cotendo Content Delivery provides high performance, cost-effective, global delivery for all web
content. Cotendo provides a consistently great experience to end-users while providing to the
content provider exceptional control over CDN performance and cost.

New Software

Rapidly increasing volumes of content and constantly evolving requirements for CDN applications
are stretching the limits of what traditional CDNs can effectively address. Cotendo has solved this
problem with a service based on new software. Cotendos agile CDN server software and platform
is built from the ground up for real-time content control and advanced functionality, while remaining focused on maximizing key CDN performance areas of delivery speed and system efficiency.

Benefits

Real-time content control

Advanced delivery control new approach using views & algorithms to manage delivery
Full site acceleration large & small objects, large & small libraries
Real-time reporting real-time traffic and audience view
Global delivery footprint with top-tier network deployment

Cotendo Views

Cotendo Views are a new innovation allowing advanced CDN and content control. Views allow
further content control refinement beyond the default CDN configuration. Cache behavior, content
TTL and browser headers can be variably controlled based on object type, directory, domain and
more with named Views. Views can be layered for sophisticated content control, and flexibly leveraged over any number of domains being accelerated by the CDN.

Real-Time

Management and reporting are via the web-based content delivery manager, Cotendo CASI.
Changes to the CDN via Cotendo XML settings are instantly reflected throughout the Cotendo CDN
service. Cotendo includes a staging function that allows you to easily test and validate new CDN
configurations without impacting production traffic. Reporting is actionable and reflects CDN activity in real-time. Content flush, when needed, is also effected instantly, solving the issue of delay
experienced by other CDNs.

Whole Site Delivery

Cotendo makes it easy to deploy by allowing whole site delivery - simply direct the site through
our CDN and set the desired cache or delivery behavior for the html pages and other data files.
No need to set up a separate CNAME or artificially divide the site, which can be
problematic for some content management applications and existing customer
workflows.

Integrated

Cotendo CDN is used for static object delivery, but it is easily combined with Cotendo DSA (dynamic site acceleration) for accelerated whole site delivery, from
a common platform. Used in conjunction with Cotendo CDN Balancer, Cotendo
CDN can work cooperatively with the content providers own delivery capacity
(Internet + other CDNs). Advanced DNS services are also available that further accelerate and optimize the viewers experience. All Cotendo CDN Applications are
tightly integrated for optimum performance and unified management.
