NEWS ABOUT FEBRUARY 1975 . . . and our needs.

Jamaica Christian Boys' Home

Dear Friends of little children,

February was a month for "catching our breath" and gearing for the Easter and
summer programmes. Plans are for a "Revival" at Headowbrook during the month
of May with Wesley Stepp of Revival Fires and then full steam ahead for summer
camps. Four excellent students from Lincoln Christian College are planning
to attend and several recruits from last summer's camps are returning. But
there is still room for morel Please write quickly if you can possibly come
and help us.

At HOIIE we have enjoyed a good month with the 'togetherness* that is so Im

portant to family life.

It's a "supper in the yard", a "work and fun" day

at Sun Mountain, or a very special occasion like the Sunday we all drove to
visit the Broadleaf Church some 65 miles into the mountains.

This is a

con

gregation that has been brought back to life through the efforts of the Meadowbrook church.

It was a lovely day.

The church was full and the meeting sweet.

Our little boys sang a "special" and won the hearts of all.

And

this is why we are grateful to you for helping again this month. God knows
we can only keep on helping these little ones as you continue to give. We

know it is "Uncle Sams'time" of the year and so we lean a little harder on our

Heavenly Father.

Please keep us in your prayers. It means so much to know

that we do not pray alone your letters tell us so and this assurance gives
us courage and strength.

God bless you all.

The sky was simply beautiful when the sun went down that last night of

couldn't leave.

It was then that we strolled around to the Vesper Area^ that really

We talked of the beautiful years working at Nine Palms and then we

those treacherous mountain roads and weeks that bore fruit for the Lord.

And we remembered you too. All summer you were there by our side helping to make it all possible.

Dear Friends - at Christmas time^

The Evergreen growth of God's wonderful world is used so

fittingly with the Christmas message.

For truly the story

of this Blessed Gift of Hope to a confused and frustrated

world is one that remains evergreen - ever alive and ever

meaningful.

And as the years roll on we grow older;

we put away the

red wagons and slates and replace them with football boots
and heavy book bags. We see the world through new eyes and

hopefully wiser ones.

And with the getting of new things

we find the evergreen Story taking on more meaning, more

helpfulness in those moments of groping for peace and
understanding.

We wish you a blessed Christmas and a better understanding

of this evemew message of Christ. In this may yoU find

serenity and hope that will keep you through anothfet* year.

From our Home comes this warm greeting. For joy and fun and busy
hours have filled our hearts this month while we worked diligently

days and nights to complete our lovely new church building. And

now we are ready - ready for that GREAT DAY, DECEMBER 7, when we

dedicate it to the Lord and His Kingdom.
