Introduction

God is calling the church to a deeper

walk in the spirit and in the
supernatural. The church is a miracle.
You are a miracle and a sign and
wonder. The church was born in the
fires of revival and an outpouring of
the spirit.
On the day of Pentecost 120 disciples
obeying the command of Jesus to wait
in Jerusalem for the promise of the
Father to be endued and clothed with
power on high. With a sudden falling
of the spirit they received the infilling
of the Holy spirit accompanied by the
Gift of speaking in unknown tongues.
That is the first Baptism of the spirit.
There were subsequent Baptisms of
the spirit after the first baptism. After

the early church age went through

dark ages and medieval ages when it
loses the supernatural power of the
Spirt to perform outstanding miracles,
signs and wonders.
The Lord began to move once again to
restore back to the revelation of the
Word that was lost through the ages.
Revelation is progressive.
In the
beginning of the 20th century there
was a worldwide hunger created by
the Holy Spirit for the restoration of
the power of God as experienced by
the disciple on the day of Pentecost
and thereafter.
Charles Parham and William J Seymour
were used by the Lord to initiate the
Pentecostal revival a movement that

swept across every nation in the world

first from Azuza Street Los Angeles to
Europe, China, India, the Isle of the
seas, Australia, New Zealand and
across the USA etc.
One of the outstanding features of
that outpouring was the Baptism of
the Holy Spirit and the Gift of Tongues
as the spirit gave utterance.
This
restored back tongues into the body
of Christ and ironically the rest of the
gifts of the Holy Spirit as the early
church.
This is a clarion call of the spirit to
bring back to its right place and
practice of speaking and praying in
tongues in the church of Jesus Christ.
The church began with the Outpouring
of the Holy Spirit and the gift of
tongues and I believe with all my

heart that the church age will end with

an outpouring of the spirit with
tongues and restoration of all the 9
gifts of the spirit in full manifestation.
God is indeed bringing the gift of the
Holy Spriit to the higest maturity for
the endtime church before His
coming. h100 Years ago a great and
mighty move of the Holy Spirit came
suddenly and impacted the whole
world from continent to continent
Another move of God is due in this
time and season for the church. We
play a major role in the great
outpouring of revival fires that will
bring a great harvest of souls.
Tongues plays a vital role in this end
time harvest and outpouring of the
Holy Spirit. Every move of God is

undergirded

by

the

third

person of the trinity and the

release of the diversities of
gifts,
differenced
of
administration
and
the
operation of God.
The
fundamentals of the Christian
faith does not change.
Revelation is progressive .
The Lord through the person
of the Holy Spirit is restoring
back what the enemy robbed
through sensual men who
infiltrate the church of Jesus
Christ and robbed of its
supernatural element.
The
Lord will restore it back to as
the Holy spirit calls us back to
PRAYER and the highest type

of prayer :Praying in the Holy

Spirit.

Let us take this journey through the

word and the experiences of the
church to get a clear and exact
understanding of the VITAL ROLE
TONGUES play in the economy of God
in this time and season .

SPEAKING IN TONGUES

Working with the New Nature.

There are powerful benefits
and implication of Praying in
tongues for edification.
1 Corinthians 14:4; Jude 1:20.
Speaking in tongues or praying in our
heavenly language is a means and
way the Lord has made provision for
every believer to EDIFY or build
themselves up . This is the gift of
tongues that you receive when you
are Baptised in the Holy Spirit.
In 1 Corinthians 14:2 Paul writes to
the church and tells us that when a
person speaks in an unknown tongue,

he speaks to god and in the spirit he

speaks mysteries. When you speak in
tongues, it is your spirit that prays to
God . Edification happens in the spirit
of man where we have received the
life and the nature of God. Man is
primarily a spirit , he has a soul and
lives in a body. The real man is the
inward man. This is the man that is
born again by the spirit of god and
becomes a new creation in Christ.
Accessing the
new nature and
releasing that nature into minds,
bodies and circumstances will help us
to take advantage of what Christ Jesus
has done for us on the cross.
When you pray in the heavenly
language of tongues you are buiding
yourself up and edifying that part of
your that has receive the Zoe-life of
God that is your SPIRIT MAN. Praying
in tongues edifies and builds you up to

the place and position that God can

begin to use you powerfully for His
purposes.

Gods Power Plant

You have the Gods treasure house on
the inside of you. You have the Power
Plant of God inide that can generate
tremendous Holy Spirit energy and
miraculous power .
Praying in
tongues energizes in your spirit by
edifying, build up and charge that
power on the inside to be released
when needed.
In the private worship and prayer life
of the believer, tongues can be an
tremendous avenue to build up your
spiritual strength and life. By praying
in tongues for prolong ed hours you
are building an atmosphere for

miracles and the manifestation of the

holy Spirit.
You can build an
atmosphere of Miracles in every
service by praying in tongues building
yourself up and to build into the
atmosphere of a meeting in the Holy
Spirit.

The word edify and build up in
1 Corintians 14:4 and Jude 1:20 is the
English transliteration EPOIKODOMEO.
The word is translated as to construct,
build up , embolden and charge up
like you charge up a battery. The
Edify also comes from the English
word EDIFICE or a architecture , a
superstructure and a building.
You are build a superstructure or a
mega bilding in the spirit a spiritual

tongues
in
a
consistent
way.
Developing a tenacity and praying
long hours in tongues helps us build
the anointing of God and contain it.
When you pray in an unknow tongues
hour after hour you are erecting and
constructing
a
building
and
archetecture a divine operation to
accommodate and jouse the power
and the anointing of God on the inside
of your inner man. This generation of
power and the activation of your
spiritual resources qualifies you for
the call of God on your life.

Charge Your inward Man

The edify brings to the thought of
charging a battery. When the power
in a power wanes or becomes weak ,
we charge the battery to restore the
power back so that it can perform the

function it is made to perform. Our

spiritual power and strength can
become weak and wane away making
us vulrebale to the circumstances of
life. The eney can have an advantage
over us. But when we pray in tongues
or the prayer language we are
charging ourselves up in the faith and
in the spirit. Ongues edifies and build
up or charge ourselves up with the
power of the holy spirit.
This is
spiritual edification.

Delivered from the carnalilty

you God will not let you be be living in
your carnal and fleshly state the rest
of your life . He has provided the way
of edification by praying in tongues to
deleiver us from the power of the
flesh and sin. Before the anointing of
God flows in your life miracles and
healing the sick you must go through

edification process that will build you

up in your spirit and causes the
anointing and power of God to
manifest.
It is not enough just pray for a few
minutes in tongues. So often when
prayng in tongues for 2 or 3 minutes it
feels like you have been praying for
an hour hour..
Praying in tongues hour after hour
triggers off the edification processs
that will sanctify your habits of your
flesh, sanctification of the soul ad
eventually the cleansing of your spirit
perfecting holiness in the fear of the
Lord. I believe praying in tongues is a
major key for the church to walking in
the sanctifying power of God.

Key to Victory

Jude 1:20 encorages us to praying in

the Holy Spirit building up your most
holy faith. The word of god says faith
comes by hearing and hearing by the
Word of God . Faith is the key to
receive from God in every area of our
life. Faith is our victory. When we
have receive the word as a seed in our
hearts we have to find a way to
release the faith that has been
planted as a seed for us to have a
harvest.
Praying in tongues causesour faith to
build up in the most holy faith or the
highest faith that we have developed
at the point. The heart or the spirit
man is te ground that produces a
harvest of 30, 60 and hundred fold.
When we begin to mix faith In our
hearts by building our most holy faith
y praying in the spriit we begin to

come to the place of receiving the

miracles that we believing God for.
By continually praying in an unkmown
tongues you can keep yourself in the
peak level of faith in the word. Yu will
be built up and established in the
highest level of faith the holy spririt
has brought you and always be in a
position of perating at the highest
level of faith.

Gods Guarantee
We have Gods guarantee in the
Word to edify and build us up
when we pray in tongues as long
and as much we want.
We build ourselves above the
sickness and diease, the lack and
need we have and the sense-

dominated realm where we are no

longer are moved by what we feel
and see but by the word of God.
Tongues and Interpretation
equals prophecy
1 Corintians 14:14 tells us that we are
edified when we pray in tongues .
This process edifies and builds you up.
The gift of prophecy which is one of
the manifestation or the gift of the
Holy Spriit is given to us for
edification, comfort and exhortation.
Prophecy edifies the church or the
Body of Christ. Prophecy is the
revelation of the Christ in you the
hope of Glory. It is the release of the
nysteries of Christ hidden in the word.
Tongues and interpretation o ftongues
equals to prophecy. Tongues will edify

you but tongues and interpretation

which is prophecy edifies the church.
Praying in tingues will edifiy because
you are praying the mysteries of God
back to the throne room. The Father
listens to the perfect prayer that you
have prayer in the spirit and answers.
The Holy Spirit listens to the answer
and releases the mysteries of God into
your spirit and you are edified and
build up in your spiriit
