BOOKS
Our Troth Volume 1

$38

Kveldulf Gundarsson, 584 pages

Our Troth is the single most comprehensive book available on
the reborn religion of Heathenry -- the pre-Christian religion of
the Germanic peoples. Volume 1 covers the history and lore of
Heathen religion, with information on the Gods, Goddesses, and
other beings that receive honor and worship, and the ethics of
being Heathen.

Our Troth Volume 2

$38

Kveldulf Gundarsson, 598 pages

This volume continues the scholarly yet accessible style of the
first. While the first covered the history and lore, this covers the
practicalities of following an active Heathen life. It instead
discusses very comprehensively every issue likely to arise in
life, ritual, and community, with a focus on both common sense
in the modern world, and the historical usages in the literature.
From weapons and alcohol at gatherings, to same sex partnerships, each facet
of Heathen life is viewed both from the old sources, and the modern realities,
creating a sensible and workable approach to being a Heathen without making
oneself irrelevant or hostile to the modern world .

The Historical Atlas of the Vikings

$29

John Haywood, 144 pages

Viking marauders struck fear into the hearts of ninth-century
European peasants, monks and nobles alike for two centuries,
but the Vikings were more than seaborne terrorists. This atlas
illustrates their influence extending from the Holy Land to
Newfoundland, as explorers, settlers, craftsmen and hired
mercenaries.

The Vikings

$27

Else Roesdahl, 317 pages

Far from being just 'wild, barbaric, axe-wielding pirates', the
Vikings created complex social institutions, oversaw the
coming of Christianity to Scandinavia and made a major
impact on European history. This encyclopedic study brings
together the latest research on Viking art, burial customs, class
divisions, jewelry, kingship, poetry and family life. The result is
a rich and compelling picture of an extraordinary civilization.

Pagan Astrology

$30

Raven Kaldera, 368 pages

A guide to the practice of planetary magic offers tools for
practitioners of green magic and folk magic to incorporate
astrology into their practice and includes an extensive collection
of magical remedies to resolve astrological afflictions. Provides
information on creating planetary altars and the astrological
correspondences of traditional pagan holidays. Traditionally,
magically oriented astrology has focused on Sun-sign
horoscopes while modern Western astrology has focused on
attempting to become as scientific as possible in hopes of aligning with its sister
science of astronomy.
The Nordic Polytheist Bookshelf: An Annotated Booklist
for the Study of Heathenry, satr and Northern
Tradition Paganism
$23
Ingirn Ingirn, 164 pages
Heathenry is affectionately nicknamed "The Religion with
Homework" To continue that analogy, those new to
Heathenry don't always have a tutor to set them assignments.
The sheer amount of scholarly books on Norse mythology,
and practical titles on modern Nordic polytheism by both
reconstructionist Heathens and more eclectic Pagans, can be
bewildering for the newcomer. Here Ingirn provides in-depth reviews of
publications from across the whole spectrum of Nordic polytheism, to help those
unfamiliar with the books decide whether they are compatible with their own
interpretation of Heathenry.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How do I submit my artwork?
Artwork may be mailed directly to our post office box address.
Wyrds Way accepts only original artwork from the artist, and it is
understood Wyrds Way may use the artwork in any manner it
chooses. Should the artwork be used for any purpose, full credit
will always be given to the artist.
Where can I write for Pen Pal services?
Wyrds Way does not have pen pal services and unfortunately,
are unaware of any service for inmates which is free of charge.
Can you put me on your mailing list?
Wyrds Way does not maintain a mailing list due to the nature of
inmate transfers.
My institution doesnt recognize our faith, what can I do?
Request a meeting with your Chaplain. satr may already be
recognized in your facility. If it is not, he or she will likely direct
you to fill out necessary paperwork for a formal request for the
recognition of satr. Part of his or her duties involves seeking
religious volunteers (of all religions) upon request after inmates
adherence to their institutional policies. Visit your Chaplains
library for information about satr; there may be books in your
facility already. Many state budgets have a portion of funds
allocated for the purchase of religious materials.
Do you offer a Goar program?
No. While we can appreciate the efforts of solitary satr
desiring to learn more about our Folkway, we have neither the
resources nor volunteers available to mentor inmates on a oneon-one basis. We suggest you write to:
