st of the item you ordered.
SHIPPING FEES. The cost of transporting your item to your p ost office or to you
r doorstep (more expensive)
IMPORT TAXES/CUSTOM FEES/DUTIES. By law, imports are subject to certain taxes an
d fees. Books should have 0% tax though.
- Computation is basic algebra, but you need an accurate schedule of the tax rat

- If you buy directly from Amazon and choose 'AmazonGlobal Priority Shipping', t

will be refunded the difference.
1.4. Will I be able to get the refund through a debit card?
ANSWER:
- Yes. You've seen this happen when you ordered in the morning, and at the end o
f the day, the difference with the exchange rate in the evening was refunded to

n.
1.5. Security Measures and other tips?
ANSWER:
- Check your prepaid balance first before ordering. Test the checkout option to
see how much you will be paying all in all. Make sure the card has enough funds
to cover it.

- Make sure a lock is indicated beside the address bar. This means the page is s
ecured.
- Also check that the address starts with 'https://'
- Use incognito mode.
- Do NOT do online shopping in a public computer/public wifi
- Use a computer with fast internet connection to avoid slip-ups.
2.1. What's the difference between shipping adress and billing adress?
ANSWER:
- The shipping address is where they send the package. This is where the brown b
ox with its shipping label and packing slips go to. The person addressed to is t
he recepient, who may or may not be the buyer himself.
- The billing address is where the invoice/account statement is sent. The perso
n addressed to here is the buyer of the item, and the one who will be charged fo
r its purchase. Typically comes in an electronic format (e-mail), but may be inc
luded in the package itself along with the packing slip (in case the buyer is th
e recipient of the package). If the item was purchased with a credit card, this
address should be the same as your credit card's billing address.
2.2. Does it really come in 3 days? When should I expect it?
ANSWER:
- If the package is not held by customs for some reason, or was not delayed thro
ugh its other delivery channels (on amazon's or on the shipping company's side)
it should arrive on schedule. To be sure, monitor the package through its tracki
ng number.

SHIPPING LABELS/PACKING LABELS
A shipping label is a label with the recipient's address that goes on top of the
package, after the item and packing slip are packaged and sealed inside.
Shipping labels provide key information to each actor of the supply chain to mov
e your package from one hand to an other, from the warehouse to your customer s do
orstep. Each carrier (UPS, DHL, FedEx, Amazon ) uses a specific template for its s
hipping labels. Each carrier designed their label so that they are optimized wit
h their own process, at the routing center and at the storage warehouse. Shippin
g labels are designed to be read by both machines and humans.
On a shipping label, you ll see barcodes, numbers and letters. Each area is being
used along the way to inform specific partners of the supply chain.
Templates can vary but overall shipping labels follow international standards. T
he standard size in the industry for shipping labels is 4 x 6 inches. Other stan
dard formats are 6 x 3 inches and 4 x 4 inches.
A standard Amazon Shipping label (ANSI/UCC-128) has 6 zones.
Zone A: Ship From
Zone B: Ship To
Zone C: Carrier Routing Barcode(Ship to Postal Code)
Zone D: Carrier Segment (Carrier Specific info. Usually Bill of Lading # & T
racking #)
Zone E: Customer Segment (Usually contains Purchase Order#/ contents info UPC, Qty, etc...)
Zone I: SSCC barcode( A unique identifier for the package. Like a license pl
ate.)
Aside from the human readable data on the label. None of these barcodes relate t
o any personally identifying information; A 9 digit postal code, and a license p
late number identifying the package.
On a UPS label, here is what you see:
A. The name and address of the sender
B. The name and address of the recipient
C. A MaxiCode: it s a code that can be read in any direction by the machine.
It contains all information needed for the delivery: postal code, country code,
service class, tracking number, date, package quantity and weight, address valid
ation, and ship street, city and state.

D. The Routing Code: it tells how to route the package within the UPS building.
E. The Postal Barcode: it shows the zipcode of the destination
F. 1Z Tracking Number: that s the number given to the customer so that he can trac
k his package.
G. Level of Service: it describes your chosen level of service provided by the
carrier
Sometimes the weight of the package is also indicated.
PACKING SLIP/LIST
Also known as delivery lists/bills of parcel/shipping list/waybill/unpacking not
e/packaging slip/delivery docket/manifest/customer receipt.
Packing slips are documents that accompany goods when they are delivered. In mos
t cases, the document is placed inside the pouch, box, or other container that i
s used for the shipment. When multiple containers are included in the single shi
pment, the seller will often seal the slip in a clear plastic pouch and affix it
to the exterior of one of the boxes.
The packing slip is provided by the seller, for the recipient's reference, desig
ned to aid him or her in confirming that all items that were supposed to be incl
uded in the shipment have actually arrived. It also serves to inform other part
ies, including transport agencies and government authorities about the contents
of the package. It helps them deal with the package accordingly.
Many receivers use the shipping list as a guide or checklist when unpacking thei
r order. If something is missing from the box, they cross-check it with the ship
ping list and then alert the seller.
Typically it is an itemized detail of the package contents such as the order dat
e, the products included within the box, and the quantity of each product. Some
businesses may want to include the weight of the product next to the item. If t
he shipment does not completely fill the customer s order, it will often include d
ata regarding the status of those other items.
It typically does not include customer pricing, but in some cases, the packing s
lip will also include information regarding the charges associated with each ite
m. Data like the unit price of each item, the extended price for each type of i
tem if multiple units were shipped, any shipping and handling charges assessed,
and any taxes applied are often found on this type of detailed document. The det
ail is helpful, since it allows the recipient to check those figures against any
price quotes extended by the seller prior to the placement of the order.
ACCOUNT STATEMENT/INVOICE
While a packing slip can provide a great deal of detail, it normally does not se
rve as a bill of lading or an invoice.
An invoice accompanies the shipment, or be received electronically or by post at
a later date. An invoice goes to the person responsible for paying the bill whi
le the packing slip goes to the recipient. In some scenarios, the same person wi
ll pay the bill and receive the shipment. However, a person can buy and pay for
a product and send it to someone else (i.e. a gift).
An invoice will typically indcate:

date of order
items purchased
item price
other fees (shipping fees, discounts, import fees/duties if included)
payment method and billing information
instructions
In business settings, employees charged with overseeing shipping and receiving f
unctions will often use the slip to check off the items received, then forward i
t to the accounts payable department. The detail contained on the document is co
mpared to the detail on the invoice before payment for the order is approved. As
suming the comparison does not yield any discrepancies, the invoice is approved
and payment is remitted to the seller.
3.2 .How does the gift wrapping work? Can I put two items in one gift box/wrap?
Will the price be indicated outside the package? Will the contents be indicated
in the packing slip? Will the name of the sender be indicated in the packing sli
p? What is a packing slip?
