Environmental Commitment
Taste has been working to keep its environmental footprint small. Plates, cutlery, and water bottles are all
biodegradable, and Taste will be using 80% less paper for the festival guide this year. Sustainival will be
back again turning all leftover cooking oil into biodiesel to run midway rides. Last year they collected 4,100
liters of oil!
Community Commitment
15 charities and nonprofits are supported through Taste of Edmonton, with over $55,000 allocated to
charity last year. Festival-goers can contribute to Tastes charitable impact by purchasing drinks at the
Beverage Oasis, donating leftover tickets at the info booth, leaving their bottles in the appropriate
receptacles, and visiting the charity booth to learn more about some of the organizations we support.
