Point to Point
If the Secuvox Smart is connected to a Point to Point ISDN line, the snatch relay will be activated at
each call to avoid collisions on the S0-BUS.
Receiving calls
Point to Multipoint
In default configuration the Secuvox Smart is not programmed with an MSN number. The Secuvox
Smart will respond to all incoming calls with a delay of 20 seconds. If an MSN number is programmed
the Secuvox Smart will respond, without delay, to the programmed MSN number. The Secuvox Smart
will reject all other incoming calls.
Point to Point
If used in a Point to Point configuration, the Secuvox Smart will not respond to incoming calls when no
MSN number is programmed. If the MSN number is programmed the Secuvox Smart will respond
directly to incoming calls for that MSN number. The Secuvox Smart automatically detects if other
devices are installed on the S0-BUS. If not the snatch relay will not be activated. Otherwise the snatch
relay will be activated before the Secuvox Smart communicates to the network to avoid collisions. It is
not possible to receive calls in a multiple NT-1 PtP configuration.
Line monitoring
Line monitoring is implemented on DC control and layer one monitoring. If the DC line voltage is not
present, the DC voltage to the TR interface is not present also. The layer one monitoring will activate
layer one of the ISDN network every 180 seconds. In a Point to Point configuration continues activation
status of the ISDN is present that is monitored by the Secuvox Smart. If a malfunction is detected in the
layer one monitoring the Secuvox Smart will activate the snatch relay to detect if the problem is caused
by the ISDN devices or the infrastructure connected to J-4. If so, the DC line voltage of the TR interface
will stay intact and the Secuvox Smart will test the J-4 output every 60 seconds. During this condition
the Secuvox Smart still monitors the TR interface and will respond to any dial information send by the
analogue alarmpanel. If the problem is caused by the incoming ISDN line the line voltage will be cut off,
allowing the analogue alarmpanel to generate an alarm.
