Students have learned the court lines and mains rules in the
game. Practising different games.
MUST Hold the tennis racquet in a adequate position in
forehand and backhand ground stroke .
SHOULD Be able to set both feet in an adequate position
with the reference of the racquet.
COULD Send the ball to a target set previously.

Tennis Racquets, tennis balls, cones, bits and football balls.

Lesson activity/methodology (with approximate timings):


(5 min)Each pupil takes a tennis ball, finds some space and must complete 20 bounces on their racket, with the racket head
open. Then the same with the racket in a closed position, if they are successful with this then progress to alternative
(open/closed side).
(5min)Everyone on the one side of a court jogging on the spot, when I shout Rafa Nadal everyone perform a forehand shot , Pete
Sampras backhand shot, and Venus Williams, everyone performs a smash.
(15 min)In pairs they work opposite each other over a net, keeping within the service box. The feeder must throw the ball to the
side of their partner so they are able to return the ball comfortably and keeping both partners with a racquet . Change over so
the other partner can try (First to 10/20)
(15 min) In groups of 4, play a double tennis match.
(40 min ) Football match. The group will be split in two groups, playing two different games with higher and lower level.
