i do hav er MIT SAMSUNG DRIVER but it is the wrong one, new one. so how to get the old one to work? It is not written for 6 4 bit. and
the topic of how to do it was deleted....
can som ebody help?

"i8000", it works like a charm to B7 6 1 0 too).

Let m e explain the steps:
1 . Download the staff: a. OCTANS_Downloader_v 2 .1 4 .zip b. CDMA_Modem _driv er_4 .3 4 .zip c. usb driv er ( X86 or X6 4 )
1 . TURN OFF y our phone (disconnected from the pc).
2 . Restart the pc. On power on (before Windows loads) press regularly the F8 button (in order to get a list). Select the Disable Driv er
Signature Enforcem ent and press Enter.
3 . When Windows load com pletely connect the phone to the usb (TURNED OFF). Go to "Control Panel\All Control Panel
Item s\Sy stem " and press "Dev ice m anager". Then go to the "m obile dev ices" right click on the phone and select the "Update Driv er
Software". Click on "Browse m y com puter for driv er software" --> Choose "Let m e pick from the list of dev ice driv ers on m y com puter"

--> Click on "Hav e Disk" and "Browse" and select the usb driv er (c. from step 1 ) Click on "OK" and then "Next".
4 . Go to the "CDMA_Modem _driv er_4 .3 4 " folder and run the "setup.exe" --> Click "INSTALL" and the "OK".

5. Disconnect

6 . Go to the "OCTANS Downloader" folder, Right Click "OCTANS Downloader v 2 .1 4 .exe", go to Com patibility Tab an set
com patibility to "Windows Xp Sp2 ".
7 . Run "OCTANS Downloader v 2 .1 4 .exe" m ake the selections y ou want as described here (rem em ber the phone is Disconnected and
TURNED OFF)
8. Press Detect and connect the phone. Octans will detect the dev ice and the "Start Downloading" button will becom e av ailable.
9 . Press "Start Downloading" button cross y our fingers and HAPPY Flashing (say thanks, it doesn't cost).
p.s.: ALL credits go to Rapid 81 and ErnstJanF for sav ing our a**es.

I flashed with win 7 6 4 bit the following way :

- pressed f8 while booting. Then disable driv er signature checking
- connected b7 6 1 0 to m y pc. Switch off b7 6 1 0.
- Changed the Sam sung MIT Driv er in Dev icem anager to the win xp 6 4 bit v ersion of activ esy nc driv er (driv ers attached to post)
- Added properties of octan to com patibility win xp sp3
- Started octan with b7 6 1 0 not connected
- select m y nb0, press detect
- switch on b7 6 1 0
- Downloading rom to dev ice is possible
After this ev ery tim e y ou want to flash y our dev ice, y ou hav e to repeat step 1 or y ou m ust install driv er signature enforcem ent
ov erider with sets y our win 7 in a testm ode that allows install of unsigned driv ers
