Nishat Mills Limited is the flagship company of Nishat Group. It was established in 1951. It is one of the
most modern, largest vertically integrated textile company in Pakistan. Nishat Mills Limited has 198,120
spindles, 655 Toyota air jet looms. The Company also has the most modern textile dyeing and processing
units, 2 stitching units for home texitle, one stitching unit for garments and Power Generation facilities with
a capacity of 89 MW. The Companys total export for the year 2011 was Rs. 36.015 billion (US$ 416
million). Due to the application of prudent management policies, consolidation of operations, a strong
balance sheet and an effective marketing strategy, the growth trend is expected to continue in the years to
come. The Company's production facilities comprise of spinning, weaving, processing, stitching and
power generation.

Spinning
Nishat Mills Spinning Division has over 198,120 spindles, which
are operationally organized into 8 spinning units. The entire
machinery is from world-renowned manufactures. All yarns made
at Nishat are Ring Spun suitable for both knitting and weaving.
Besides the best Pakistani cotton, long stapled American, Egyptian
and US Pima cotton is also used for fine counts. For our strong
belief in product development and innovation we have our own in
house state of the art cotton and yarn testing laboratories. Nishat
spinning is one of the most trusted brands in the market due to its
efficient production and quality.

Yarn Dyeing

Nishat Yarn Dyeing is one of the latest exhaust dyeing units inPakistan having installed production capacity of 5.0 tons
per day. We are processing yarn and sewing thread in package. Also, we have set up facility for Beam Dyeing which is
first of its kind in Pakistan.

Weaving
Nishat Mills Weaving division has 670 modern Air Jet and projectile
looms which produce approximate 9.0 million meters of fabric per
month and makes it the largest weaving facility of Pakistan
catering to home textile and apparel fabrics.

Our fabric processing facility is one of the largest and most modern factories
of Pakistan. With an array of custom-made machinery, it has the capacity to
produce 90 million meters of fabric per annum. It is specially designed to
handle heavy weight fabrics like twills, drills, canvases / poplins, fabrics with
minimum tension such as stretch fabrics and all high density weaves. The
advantage achieved by the customized design of its machines is the result of an
extensive research work with the help of world renowned machine makers. To
ensure that our customers get the very best we use more than 75% dyes and
chemicals of European origin.
The standards are higher than ever, dedicated by fashion, efficient productivity and
further automation is engineered in the plant. To maintain quality and international
standards, an on-line Quality Control (QC) Department has been setup. The QC
department is augmented by a fully equipped Laboratory, which scrutinizes the
fabric process flow at all levels. Our extra ordinary Research & Development work

Garments

Nishat Mills Limited has state of art garment manufacturing facility both for men and women. The Apparel division has
deployed 1627 high end sewing machines such as Vibe Mac, Juki, Mitusibishi and Brother. The Division has the capacity to
produce 7.20 million garments per annum.
The Garment wet process utilizes the modern techniques of Rinse, Enzyme Stone, Enzyme Wash, Super Bleach, Reducer
Wash, Tint Wash and Raisin Wash. In order to obtain best results, our facility is geared with Tonello Washing machines,
Maino dryers, Wrinkle Curing Hangers and Barrel washing machines and Dryers for sampling. Our qualified team members

Generation Facilities
Nishat Mills has established state of the art,
modern, highly reliable and extremely efficient
captive co-generation power plants to cater in
house energy requirements at all its spinning,
weaving, processing, stitching and apparel
units. These facilities are using Wartsila,
Caterpillar, Cummins, Daihatsu, Jenbacher &
Mak engines for power generation. Gas,
Furnace Oil, Diesel and Steam is being used as
fuel for power generation.

Combined Heat and Power Plant

Nishat Mills Limited has lived up to


its promise to be a vanguard in use
of alternative fuels for energy
requirements in the absence of
fossil fuels. We have put up a new
Combined Heat and Power plant at
our site in Lahore which will
produce 6 M.W. of electricity and
65 tons/hour of steam. Coal will be
the primary fuel but special aspect
of this plant is its flexibility to use
alternative input mix up-to 70% of
bio-mass with 30% of coal. The
plant is expected to be
commissioned by May/June 2012.
Two high performance, high
efficiency, low pressure steam
generating boilers are already in
operation using rice husk, wood
chips and corn cobs etc as main
source of locally available agriwaste fuels at two sites of our
company.
The Company is now planning to
establish similar projects for our
spinning division at Faisalabad and
our weaving division at
Sheikhupura. These plants will
have the production capacity to
cater for entire power and energy
requirements of these divisions.
Synthetic Natural Gas Plant
Installation of Synthetic Natural Gas (SNG) Plant is nearing its completion phase.
This plant will use LPG as raw material to produce synthetic gas. This synthetic gas
will be used to run processing machines which are solely dependent on natural gas
for their running and are non operational during gas load shedding days. A sizeable
storage of LPG has also been established in the Company.

Crescent textile mills:


The foundation stone of The Crescent Textile Mills Ltd was laid by Mr Muhammad
Shafi on May 01, 1950. Under his leadership Crestex, in1956, started exporting
majority of its products to USA, Europe, Middle East, and Japan. After the demise of

Mr. Muhammad Shafi, Mr. Muhammad Anwar and Mr. Nasir Shafi took over the
charge of Crestex as CEO and DCEO respectively.
Progressive and futuristic approach of Mr. Muhammad Anwar and Mr. Nasir Shafi
enabled Crestex to become the 1st composite textile company of Pakistan which
received the ISO 9002 certification on July 07, 1997. Crestex has also been awarded
Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certification, President of Pakistan Export Trophy for three
consecutive years in mid 90s, the Highest Sale of Yarn and Cloth award in 1987-88,
1993-94 and 1994-95, and highest sales of the home textiles award in 2008.The
enormous contributions of Mr. Muhammad Anwar toward textile industry has been
acknowledged by Pakistan Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry in the
form of most prestigious award Businessman of the year in 1987-88, 1993-94,
1994-95.

The Crescent Textile Mills Ltd is a public limited company incorporated in Pakistan
under the Companies Ordinance 1984. Registered office of Crestex is located at 40A, Of: Zafar Ali Road, Gulberg-V, Lahore.
Its shares are quoted on all the Stock Exchanges in Pakistan. The Crestex is
engaged in business of textile manufacturing comprising of Made ups, Processed
fabric, Greige fabric and Yarn made from raw cotton and synthetic fiber(s). Crestex

Production:
Spinning:
The Crescent Textile Mills Limited is capable of producing yarn Count Range from Ne
10 count to Ne 100, carded and combed in 100% cotton, 100% polyester (diferent
synthetic and regenerated fibers) as well as blends with cotton. These qualities of
yarn are produced by using local as well as imported short & long staple cotton in
accordance with customer specifications. Our Spinning units are equipped to
produce Regular Ring Spun Yarn, Compact Ring Spun Yarn, Stretch (Lycra and
Spandex) Yarn, Slub Yarn and Multi count & Multi twist Yarn. All manufacturing
facilities are located under one roof.
Crestex has 120,000 spindles, 288 MJS (Murata Jet Spinning) drums, 1,568 spindles
TFO (Doubling & Twisting).
The spinning capacity in 20s count based on 3 shifts per day is 48 million kgs/yr.

Weaving:
Crescent Textile Mills Ltd has 240 Air jet Looms to convert its own yarn into
customer specified cloth.
Fabric weaving capacity in 60 picks based on 3 shifts per day is 53 million sq.
meters/yr.
Over & above in house weaving capacity we out-source approx 60 Million sq. meters
per year of greige fabric in Air Jet, Shuttle less, Auto Loom and Power Loom fabric as
per customer requirements.
Processing:
The Crescent Textile Mills Ltd has the capacity to process/finish 42 millions mtrs/yr.

software to develop new products with diferent fabrics and designs to meet the

Methods:
1. CUSTOMERS INQUIRIES

Inquiries are received at The Crescent Textile Mill Ltd through correspondence or an
outcome of the meetings held with customers. Inquiries are promptly responded
indicating Crestex ability to provide products as per customers requirements at
competitive pricing.

2. PRODUCT SAMPLES
Crestex has a range of product samples available for demonstration to its
customers. Out of available collection the product samples are sent to the
customers immediately whereas new product samples are developed and sent to
the customers within a few days of the receipt of customers inquiry. Visits to the
manufacturing facility are also arranged if a customer desires so.

3. EXECUTION OF A COMMERCIAL CONTRACT


After acceptance of the sample, a formal commercial contract is executed between
Crestex and the Customer. Key information of the commercial contract includes:

4. PRODUCTION
The production facilities of Crestex are fully equipped with professional teams and
state of the art manufacturing equipments. Products are produced in accordance
with agreed terms & conditions. Crestex uses Six Sigma tools to ensure production
of quality products in a cost efective manner.

5. PRE SHIPMENT INSPECTION

Crestex Quality Audit Teams comprising of trained professionals carry out pre
shipment audit of all the consignments. Shipments are made subject to issuance of
satisfactory report by the Quality Audit Team.

6. SHIPMENTS
Shipment documents are prepared and arrangements made for shipment of goods
as per instructions of the customer to any destination around the globe.

The professional profile of Mr. Aamir Amin reflects diligent contribution towards corporate
affairs and capital market of Pakistan. He has a diversified experience as representative
of NIT at the Board of various companies from different business sectors.
Mr. Riaz Ahmed
Mr. Riaz Ahmed joined Kohinoor Mills Limited as a Non-Executive Director of the
Company on March 31, 2013. He is a successful business executive contributed on key
management positions of business relating to footwear and hospital. Mr. Riaz Ahmed
completed his Masters in Business Administration, from Institute of Business
Administration, Karachi in 1964. His professional synopsis started right after his Masters
and depicts the zeal and commitment. He served in the positions of sales & marketing
manager, General Manager and as the Chief Executive not limited to Pakistan but to
Somalia, Tanzania, Gulf Countries, Europe and far eastern countries.
Mr. Shahbaz Munir
A successful business executive with an extensive and rich experience in the field of
Human Resource and Administration. He possesses a professional experience of more
than 30 years and enjoys healthy contacts with businessmen, bureaucrat, Government
departments and elite corporate circle. Presently, serving as Non-Executive Director of

The Company shall achieve its mission through a continuous process of having
sourced, developed, implemented and managed the best leading edge technology,
industry best practices, human resource and innovative products and services and
sold these to its customers, suppliers and stakeholders.

Business Activities

The Company is principally engaged in the business of textile manufacturing


covering weaving, bleaching, dyeing, buying and selling and otherwise dealing in
yarn, cloth and other goods and fabrics made from raw cotton and synthetic fiber
and to generate, distribute, supply and sell electricity.
Weaving:
Weaving is the flagship Division of Kohinoor Mills Ltd, commenced Production in
year 1990 with 48 Sulzer Ruti looms.

Weaving Division currently operates 174 high speed, state of the art air-jet looms
including Picanol Omni + and Toyota Euro Tech. We also have specialized dobby and
jacquard machines in narrow and wider widths. Back process consists of warping
and sizing machines from Benninger and we also have sectional warper to handle
synthetic warps and dyed yarns. Weaving Division's production capacity is around
30 million linear meters per annum.

Weaving Division's product range includes loom state fabrics of various textures
such as plain, canvas, twills, drills, sateens, specialized design fabrics with dobby
and jacquard weaves. We are fully equipped and capable to deliver yarn dyed

products with any number of colors in the warp and up to 6 colors in the weft for
both Home and apparel fabrics.

Weaving Division has a dedicated product Development department too, with


specialist designers who are capable not only to replicate customer's designs but
also create and develop new designs for export and local markets.
Dying:
Dyeing Division started production in June 2002. Top of the line European Machinery
is capable of producing 30 million meters per annum of Cotton and Cotton Blended
Finished Fabrics.

Today the customer base starting from the Oceania's to America's buy fabrics to be
used for High street Fashion, casual, sportswear and work wear. Venture with French
Company Saic Velcorex from the last six years has given a competitive edge on
other mills in Asia in terms of fabrication, Hand feels and special finishes.

Well established planning, quality assurance and online quality control systems
ensure to deliver the right product to the customers on time. Today the top
customers are LEVI's, GAP, OLD NAVY, BANANA REPUBLIC, PERRY ELIS, A&F,
COLUMBIA SPORTS, ANN TAYLOR, JC PENNY, WALMART, VF, ZARA, COLLINS and
TEMA.

Kohinoor Dyeing is renowned throughout the world for its remarkable dyed fabrics.
Special finishes like Teflon's, soil release, stain repellant, water repellant, fire
retardant, Nanotex, anti-microbial, pre-cure and post cure are produced on regular
basis. Kohinoor Dyeing is is using all the Oekotex certified dyes and chemicals for its
products. Kohinoor Dyeing is also processing organic cotton fabrics to meet the
changing needs of its customers.
Genertek
The Genertek Division has been engaged in power generation and distribution since
1995. Our own power generation gives the unit access to dependable and
uninterrupted power supply.
Kohinoor currently has installed power generation capacity of 31 mea watts. Gas
fired turbine and engines generate 13 MW electricity and 18 tons of steam per hour.

Furnace oil/Gas fired engines provide a backup of 18 MW power during no gas


period.
