Castle on a Cloud Pattern

This pattern is property of Tucana's Dream en can only be used for personal
creations. Selling products made of this pattern is not aloud.
Castle on a Cloud is the Les Miserable-sister of On My Own, our popular beretpattern.
When I designed this pattern, I used the blue-white wool that you can see on
the pictures.
The colors made me think of clouds, while the result shows something of a
castle. Castle on a Cloud would be the name!
In the musical Les Miserables, Castle on a Cloud is a beautiful song about a
girl-like-cinderella that steps out of reality in her daydreams. She dreams
about a better place for her: her castle on a cloud.
Sizes
1 size for adults.
You can make it smaller by using a thinner yarn and thinner needle.
Make it larger by using a thicker yarn and thicker needle.
Materials

Wool: You can use any yarn you want, as long as it's usable for ndl. 4-5mm
and you can get the gauge. We do encourage you to use natural fibers.
Acryl/Polyester/other non-natural fibres are damaging the human skin.

Also needed:
4mm circular needle of 60cm or dubble pointed needles
stitchmarkers
stitch-holder
Needed knitting knowledge:
The pattern is knit in the round. You can knit with dubble pointed needles or
with a circular needle. A circular needle will be too big for the small
circumference, you will need the Magic Loop-method for this.

Techniques...
Seed Stitch: K1, P1, K1, P1 etc... Because you have a odd amount of
stitches, in the next row, you will knit the K-stitches above the P-stitches
and the P-stitches above the K-stitches.

Ajourmotifs: you will get them when you wrap your yarn around your
needle at the right places. In the next row, you knit them together with the
other stitches. The 'holes' will make a drawing in your knitwork. Attention:
while wrapping your yarn around your needle, you increase a stitch. But
because you have tho stay at the same amount of stitches, you will have to
reduce a stitch somewhere else.

Knitting in the thumb: actually, this already starts in the 2nd ajourmotif. You
will see that the 2 yo's in the middle not have a k2tog- or ssk-partner. Here
starts the beginning of the thumb. You knit in the thumb by making more
place for it at the side where the thumb will be.
Nubs: little balls who will give some relief tot your knitwork. You knit them
by knitting 4 stitches en 3 yo's in the same stitch. In the next row, you'll
knit those 7 stitches together. The easiest way to do that is to slip 6 stitches
onto your right needle, knit the 7th stitch and slip those 6 stitches back over
the 7th stitch and off the needle.
Borderstitch 1/1: Knit 1 stitch, purl 1 stitch. When you knit the knitted
stitches through the backloop, you will get a very nice border.
