Just wanted to get a quick note out before the rush of the coming week. With over 400 participating locations around the Country including the 24 national cemeteries on foreign soil - 2009 will be the largest
Wreaths Across America event we've seen so far!
Here are a couple of updates that folks might be interested to know:
Escort to Arlington - Weve received a number of questions about the annual escort of wreaths from
Maine to Arlington, VA. The escort itinerary is slightly different in 2009, with some new stops planned along
the way. Did you know the escort itinerary is available on the website? Just click on the link, or follow the
progress of the wreaths from Maine to Virginia with live feeds from twitter at http://twitter.com/
WreathsAcross
5 Sections Planned for Arlington - We have also received a number of requests for information about
the wreath-laying events planned at Arlington on the 12th. There is no formal sign-up for volunteers - we
invite all who wish to attend. If you would like more information about the 5 sections, start times, or other
information specific to Arlington National Cemetery - visit the Arlington page on the website.
Did you Want a Wreath for your Door? If you are looking for a wreath, Wreaths Across America has
made arrangements with Worcester Wreath Company to handle any wreath orders for personal use or
placement other than the 400+ participating locations. They are even offering a special deal called the
Patriot Pair, where for one price you can have one wreath shipped to your door and a second wreath
sponsored for one of the participating locations. For more information, check out WorcesterWreath.com
* Editors Note: It is true that in the past Wreaths Across America did offer to ship individual wreaths for personal use. But the wreath-laying events
have grown so much, that our organization efforts are all focused on the wreaths destined to be placed in honor of veterans at the participating
locations. Worcester Wreath Company has agreed to handle individual wreath ordersas well as continuing to be the single largest donor to the
Wreaths Across America program.

New Media Pages Available - New for 2009, Wreaths Across America has set up two new locations where
newspapers, stations, blogs, and websites can download images, video, PSAs and press releases about
the Wreath Across America program. Who do you know who would like to share information about the
Wreaths Across America program on radio, TV, or online? Downloads are available at the WAA Media Kit
Page, and via a PR Newswire Multimedia Page. Thanks - we appreciate your help in spreading the word
about honoring our veterans this holiday season.
Wreaths Across America at Zazzle - And lastly, did you know that there is a page set up at Zazzle.com
where you can order sweatshirts, t-shirts, and travel mugs with the Wreaths Across America logo on it?
We havent integrated this into the website shopping cart system yet (you can order thru Zazzle) but if you
are looking for some WAA gearyou can order and a portion of the order goes back to Wreaths Across
America.org.
It is the season for giving thanks and expressing our gratitudeand in 2009 we will do that in the biggest
way that we know how with wreath-laying events across the Nation.
We hope you will join us in once again sayingto those who serve, and
those who sacrificed, we will continue to Remember, Honor, and Teach
about the gift of freedom we have received from our Veterans.
