expand in NY Metro area and establish chain as leader. Assumed transition management to hire and train staff to new
standards. Centralized setup and selection of items for concession stands. Managed repair and maintenance. Facilitated
smooth transition for previous ownership. Increased value of company, enabling purchase by Cablevision.

wanted to run midnight Rock-and-Roll concert movies. Community and Church leaders objected, threatening a protest.
Contacted interested parties and arranged for shows to be monitored, confirming absence or drugs and alcohol. Negotiated
end of protest and boycott. Successful showings increased theater attendance and added to top line.
Turned around multiplex cinema operations, increasing efficiencies and recovering $20K revenue. Whitestone
cinemas were underperforming and managers were working overnight to complete required paperwork. Assumed title of
Managing Director. Retrained manages in day-to-day operations, including proper cash handling and closeout procedures.

sought to increase number of special events. Opened special office to book and track theater rentals. Hired and trained

CAREER HISTORY
General Manager, BMC Entertainment LLC., 2001-Present. Responsible for all aspects of small theatre chain at five
locations. Duties include full spectrum of financial aspects, including accounts payable and receivables, budgeting,
purchasing and inventory control. Manage day-to-day operations including, advertising, marketing, human resources,
acquisitions, licensing, facilities management and negotiating vendor contracts. Responsible for booking and scheduling
movies shown at these locations, as well as concession marketing ,and purchasing.
District Manager, Clearview Cinemas, 1991-2001. Responsible for day-to-day operations of ten locations with duties
including vendor negotiations, purchasing of equipment and supplies, facilities management, auditing of paperwork
including payroll, inventories, daily ticket sales reports and concession reports. Managed special events to include theatre
rentals and concessions, marketing, purchasing of equipment and supplies, and making product decisions for 60-location
theatre chain. Led acquisition team efforts to source and secure additional theater locations.
Assistant Facilities Manager, Chelsea Catering, 1990-1991. Responsible for maintenance of airline catering facility that
included cleaning and maintenance of equipment, upkeep, inventory and ordering of equipment used on aircraft for
serving meals. Managed loading and unloading of meals, beverages and equipment onboard aircraft. Upgraded position
included supervision food purchasing, preparation and warehousing.
General Manager, Cinema City Corp., 1987-1990. General Manager of a Five-Screen Theater. Responsibilities included
hiring, daily operations, training of staff, daily sales reports, cash handling, purchase of equipment and supplies,
inventories and marketing of concession products.
Managing Director, National Amusements, 1979-1987. As Managing Director for multiple National Amusements New
York Locations, duties included day-to-day operations for 14-screen theatre location. Responsible for hiring and
managing eight managers and 60-70 staff members, budgeting, forecasting of revenues and costs, purchasing of
equipment and supplies, facility management, vendor negotiations, concession management and inventory control.
Manager, United Artist Theatre Corp., 1973-1979. Responsible for hiring and training of theater staff, day-to-day
operations, inventory control, purchasing of equipment and supplies, concession management and facility management.
