COMMON CALENDAR OF EVENTS
Preamble :
Under chapter II 5 (XXI) of the Karnataka State Open University Act 1992, the
University offers academic programmes through collaborative Institutions, presently there are
150 Collaborative Institutions, offering either common programmes or specific programmes.
In an endeavor to streamline the common academic programmes under unified rules and
regulations, it is decided to have common procedure. The collaborators meet on 23 and
24th April 2011 has resolved to have common calendar of events for every academic year.
The Honble Vice Chancellor has accorded approval thereon. The notification is issued to
implement it.

the common calendar of events for all the programmes offered by collaborative institutions
under semester scheme & Annual scheme is notified for the Academic year 2013 & 2014.

Note :
1. With regard to NRI Students admissions the Institutions shall seek prior
permission from the University with all relevant documents before making
admissions to any courses.
2. Collaborative Institutions shall prepare Identity Cards for all the courses
compulsorily without fail and send the same for attestation.
3. Collaborative Institutions shall not make any direct admissions / credit transfer
admissions either in annual mode programmes or semester programmes.
4. Those Collaborative institutions with inhouse programmes shall follow the
same rules and regulations of the University and shall inform the students the
same, failing to inform the students the University will not be held
responsible.
5. Collaborative Institutions shall not admit students of another collaborative
institutions either in semester mode or in annual mode and also students of
K.S.O.U. Further institutions shall make admissions to programmes which
have been approved by the University and from approved Study Centres only.
And shall not make admissions to programmes which have not been approved
by the University, Misguiding/Misleading the University will be viewed very
seriously including termination of Contract / M.O.U.

The above notification comes into force for the Academic year 2013 & 2014.
Commencing from July 2013).
Further all the Heads of the Academic
Collaborative Institutions shall strictly follow the above said dates for the
academic year, if not the University will not approve the admissions.
