EXERCISE 1
Use have and have got to describe people.
Activity
Write one sentence to describe each of these people, giving
information about their hair and face, their height and build and
general appearance.
1 YOU, YOURSELF:
I have got straight hair and I am thin- faced.
I got fair skin and Im shot.
2 YOUR BEST FRIEND: My best friends is Kelly
Shes got curly hair and shes got a round- face.
She is a very thin and small. Shes an elegant woman.
3 A NEIGHBOR.
Hes got a beard and hes got black hair.
Hes very fat and tall and hes a person with good muscles. He
always wears t-shirt and shorts, hes very scuffy.
4 YOUR IDEAL OF A HANDSOME MAN / A BEAUTIFUL WOMAN
Hes very tall and hes got blond hair.
Hes got thin face and hes very attractive. Hes very intelligent and
muscular.
Now, in the same way, describe somebody very famous, give some
extra clues about them, e.g. Hes/ Shes a pop star/politician.
JAMES RODRIGUEZ.
Hes a soccer player of the Real Madrid. Hes Colombian. James has
got black hair and brown eyes. Hes tall and thin, hes got good
muscles. Hes got thin face. James is the best player soccer for me.
EXERCISE 2
Use phrases with verb + -ing and prepositions to identify
people.
Talk about what people look like.
Based on the picture write a short dialogue to use phrases with verb
+ -ing (At least 5) and prepositions to identify people (At least 5), as
in the examples given in the power point presentation of the 3rd
evaluative moment, grammatical explanation (fifth slide). Include 5
questions: and 5 answers. Talk about what people look like.
DIALOGUE:
TOM: Hello, do you remember me?
David: yeah, nice to see you.
Tom: Im standing by train.
David: I either, Im with my wife.
Tom: Oh, Which one is she?
David: she is next to the guy with the ponytail; shes got
blond hair and shes wearing t-shirt and jean.
Tom: Oh, she looks nice. And where are you going?
David: were going on vacations.
Tom: What are you going to do after?
David: we will visit our parents.
Tom: Oh my god. This is wonderful.
