1. Introduction
In 1938, A. Ostrowski proved the following integral inequality [6, p. 468]:

For a different proof than the original one provided by Ostrowski in 1938
as well as applications for special means (identric mean, logarithmic mean,
plogarithmic mean, etc.) and in Numerical Analysis for quadrature formulae of Riemann type, see the recent paper [3].
In [4], the following version of Ostrowskis inequality for the 1-norm of the
first derivatives has been given.
