Lesson Title: Traffic Management Office Training

Date: TBD

Total Time: 1 hour each day for 5 Days

Instructional Intent:

Provide student the understanding of guidelines/processes/procedures to manage the Personal Property Element.

Objectives:

Student will be able to brief/explain all entitlements to military/civilian personnel with comprehension of the
material plus the proper use of applicable regulation.

I. Preparation of the Learners:

Student will observe the Computer Based Training (CBT)

Student will review applicable sections in the above listed references identified in the CBT

II. Presentation:

Student will review the CBT


Student will be required to sit-in during an actual briefing the day of training
- Prior coordination with the Traffic Management Flight Chief is required
- Review the Personal Property handout

III. Application:

Student is required to accomplish a briefing using the handout provided with no more than three errors.

IV. Evaluation:

Student will provide written critique and receive feedback following the briefing session.

Instructions to accomplish training:


1) LRO will complete training in LGRT after 5 days in the following areas:
--Day 1- ½ day in Passenger Travel
--Day 1/second half of day plus days 2 and 3-HHGs

--Day 4-Cargo Freight
--Day 5 Air Freight
--2T2s will explain the following:
---Loading/unloading process
---Passenger terminal process
---Proper forms used
---Systems used to manage process
--All training is validated by each respective flight’s training monitor.

2) Insert “COMPLETION DATE” into block after all associated tasks under the header block has been
completed.

*LRO will be trained via items from the LSEP checklist and this portion will cover
Inbound/Outbound/NTS/QA.

4) The training is divided in the following manner::


- The overall course content is on page 1-5
- Pages 6-14 contain the tasks required for training; below tasks are the topics used for training.

#2 means the student will be able to brief/explain all entitlements to military/civilian personnel with full
comprehension of the material plus the proper use of applicable regulation. Criteria for passing is to perform the
task with minimal or no assistance from the trainer. The session will be documented and placed the in the students
training file which attached to their training records. Each department has their own training personnel that will
manage this process. Once a section is accomplished a copy is sent to central location to maintain the records.

6.1 Above basically states:


Staff Sergeant Jones has received Permanent Change of Station (PCS) orders. She must move her husband and
two children to Fayetteville, NC (Pope Air Force Base) from Tampa, FL (MacDill Air Force Base). Since the
military has tasked her to move the government will pay to move their personnel belongings to this location. She
is required to visit the Traffic Management Office, where she is briefed on how much weight she is entitled to
move, each rank is allotted different weight amounts, what can/cannot be moved by the government.

The student must be able to brief SSgt Jones on her entitlements and, fill out all the proper forms that
accompany the move. These are go/no go scenarios, if a no go occurs the student will re-accomplish that block of
training.

Note: To be awarded the Distribution SEI, the trainee MUST have ALL core tasks signed off. To achieve this requirement,
the trainee will have to gain experience in more than one section. For example, if assigned to the Distribution Flight, the
trainee must accomplish the core tasks within the Cargo Movement Section and at the same time (during that 12 month
minimum timeframe) accomplish the required core tasks within the Traffic Management Flight (and vice versa) before the SEI
can be awarded. The trainee will not be required to work 12 months in both areas however, it may take a little more than the
minimum 12 months to fully grasp/complete ALL required core tasks. SEI award will be made after completion of all training
and experience requirements, certification and recommendation by unit commander, and approval by the group commander.
