A historical even that shaped the world we live in was The English

Civil War. The war started in 1642 when the first agent Charles I the King od
England and the second agent The Parliamentary forces or the roundheads
started going at each other. Charles I was pushing hard too keep monarchy in
England and the catholic influences in place. However Parliament wanted to
abolish Charles and his monarchy because of his spending in expensive
warfare.

There are many reasons parliament wanted to get rid of Charles and
the monarchy. Charles had called Parliament many times over the last 20
years only to disband it repeatedly. In the 1640s Parliament finally had
enough of Charles and refused to allow him to disband it again. Charles
didnt like parliament because he wanted absolute rule over England and
parliament wanted to get ride of that. However, Charles had some issue with
this because parliament raise and army to fight Charles and take him down
from the throne. He was captured and put in jail. However parliament didnt
have it easy either because Charles raised an army of Irish Catholics to fight
against parliament.
Charles used the army he raised and his power as ruler over
England to try and get people to band together and fight against parliament.

However parliament had accomplished more. They passed laws that stopped
Charles from raising taxes on people and making other laws. When Charles
tried to get rid of these laws, parliament put in new laws to make sure that
Charles could not alternate parliament anymore. As history shows,
parliament was successful in the attempts to bring down Charles. They were
able to capture him, throw him in prison for years and eventually execute
him. Charles on the other was not so lucky. His attempts to alter parliament
and keep a monarch in England died along with him as parliament had to
many troops and power for Charles to fight.
According to The History Channel it was in fact a discrepancy over
Irish insurrection that cause The English Civil War or wars of three
kingdoms. This war spanned over 10 years and when Charles the I was
captured and killed, his son Charles II took over and eventually rose to the
throne about 9 years later. This war left over 200,000 causalities included
men and women who died from war related diseases.
If Charles I would have not spent so much money on weaponry and
persecution of Puritans he would have had time to sort things out with
parliament to where then there could have been a possibility for a less deadly
and murderous way to settle things.
