DROPS BABY 2008/09, PATTERNS ON THE INTERNET!


Finally the new patterns for DROPS Baby are being uploaded! We'll daily upload the patterns as they are being proof
read and translated. The patterns are chosen based mainly on the voting results and all your comments. You will see
that our new baby-collection is big on numbers and features a great variety of designs. You'll find the cutest babies in
everything from basic garments like trousers and jackets to ponchos and dresses. There are also a lot of accessories
such as blankets, hats, socks, mittens and comforters. The colors range from white and light pastels to strong, vibrant
colors, the latter represented mainly by Fabel.

Knitting tension: 19 sts x 25 rows stocking sts = 10 x 10 cm
Pattern: See diagrams M.1, M.2 and M.3. Diagrams are seen from RS.
Hat: Remember knitting tension! Knit piece back and forth. Knit hat double as long as finished measurement and
similar in both ends. On completion bottom part is turned into the hat so it is doubled. Cast on 16 sts (incl 1 edge sts
on each side) on needle size 4 mm with 2 threads Alpaca. Knit 1 rows stocking sts. On next row knit 2 sts in each sts
(not in edge sts) = 30 sts. Continue as follows seen from RS: 1 edge sts, K4, P12, K4, P2, K4, P2, 1 edge sts. Then
inc 1 sts on each side of each P-part on every other row14-16 times in total = 114-126 sts (= 1 edge sts, K4, P40-44,
K4, P30-34, K4, P30-34, 1 edge sts). Piece measures approx 11-13 cm. Continue as follows from RS: 1 edge sts,
K4 over K4, P4-6 , M.1(= 32 sts), P4-6, K4 over K4, P4-6, M.2 (= 6 sts), P8-9, K4, P8-9 , K4 over K4, P8-9, K4, P89, M.3 (= 6 sts), finish off with P4-6 and 1 edge sts. Continue this pattern until M.1 is knitted 6 times in height
piece measures approx arb 50-52 cm. Knit next row as follows - from RS: 1 edge sts, K4, P40-44, K4, P30-34, K4,
P30-34, 1 edge sts. Continuing dec 1 sts on each side on each P-part on every other row14-16 times in total = 30 sts
left. On next round knit sts tog 2 by 2 = 15 sts. Pull thread through remaining sts, pull tog and sew on. Piece measures
approx 61-65 cm.
Assembly: Sew opening tog at bottom of hat. Sew side of hat tog within 1 edge sts. Fold bottom part up into hat. Sew
on with a few sts so hat stays in place.
SCARF
Knitting tension: 10 sts x 14 rows stocking sts = 10 x 10 cm
Pattern: See diagram M.4. Diagrams are seen from RS.
Scarf: Cast on 42 sts on needle size 9 mm with Eskimo. Knit 4 rows garter sts. Now knit M.4. When piece measures
approx 168 cm (ensure 1 pattern repeat is completed) knit 4 rows garter sts before casting off losely.
