Last Thursday's Nehemiah Assembly was a

great moment for our city. Thanks to 1,726
people acting as one, we were able to take concrete steps toward a healthier and more just
city. Together, we set the stage for:
A comprehensive mental health plan for
Lawrence led by key officials/stakeholders.
Training for every police officer in the city
to better handle mental health encounters.
Fewer people ending up in jail only because
of mental illness
Stabilization for people in mental health
crisis
Housing for people in major transition
(women fleeing domestic violence, children
aging out of foster care, people in recovery
from addiction, etc.)

May 18-25: Kitchen flooring installed

An Iranian film about a blind boy who sees
