Having made a difference in the world of sustainability as early as 1985, when he won
the Professor Mohan Munasinghe Award for Energy Conservation, Mario now prides his
projects as being symbolic of the sustainable built environment in both sub-urban as
well as highly developed regions.
Being involved with LEED and sustainability projects spanning over 2 million square
metres of built up area in the Middle East and Asia, he has earned unparalleled experience in the green building industry in this region.
In 2011, Mario was inducted into the inaugural class of 34 LEED Fellows world over,
being recognised for his exceptional contributions to green building and significant
professional achievement within the rapidly growing community of LEED professionals.
Mario is also the first USGBC LEED Faculty outside the United States and has trained
over 1,500 professionals in LEED.
