Come at least 5 days before university starts.

Send an email about your flight details to personal affairs, also send a reminder email 2 days
before so that they will pick you from airport.

They will give you the contact number of the person who will pick you from airport.

At Dammam airport it might take upto 4-7 hours in clearance. Its normal routine at Dammam
airport, because of long passenger lines at clearance counters. To avoid this long time, as u enter
the airport u should do hurry in reaching the clearance/entry counters. (On the entry counter you
have to give the person an entry card with your personal details filled in. This entry card you must
get during flight from air hostess or people around you. Fill it up on flight so that no time wastes at
entry counter.) They will take photograph, fingerprints and stamp on passport.

Buy a SIM from the airport, u can get it from sweeper or from any shop at airport, it cost 40sr or
70sr depending on the balance 30sr and 70sr respectively. Its better that you get a calling card
after coming out of the lounge. Dont take taxi it costs u more than 80sr. Just call / Contact the
person on his cell who will receive u at the airport. Dont give your passport to anyone. Just show
it to the receiving person and keep it in your pocket. Only Mr. Rana at personal affair dept. in
KFUPM is authorized to collect your passport. Also dont lose your ticket during arrival.

If they say come by your own on taxi then u should say I dont have the money.I m waiting at
airport. Because u r new person u dont know the location. And u dont have they keys of ur
room.

Again, Dont take taxi!!! Wait for the person at airport. Because he will drop you at your room
and will give your room keys.

Take Saudi airline ticket and Make Al-Fursan account on Saudi airline it will benefit you to carry
10kg extra.

Dont bring any pirated/ cracked softwares or any type of movies along with you. All of your hard
disks, Usbs, laptops might be scanned at the airport. Try to hide USB and External hard disk, in
handbag or booked luggage. Because they will return your memories after 4 days.

If you dont have a laptop then purchase it from here. U will get the best offer over here. It ranges
from 1500 to 2500 SR.
If u want to buy a car the Bring Driving License from Pakistan. International license is not
necessary.

Bring 500SR Iqama fees.

Mostly people wear T-shirts and jeans due to hot weather. So bring T-shirt and jeans more
than shirts and dress paints.

Bring joggers, sandals, 4 packets of ball point pen, 2 registers. Ehraam, School bag (you can put
on your back),

The voltage in student accommodation in 110V, so dont bring 220V appliances like iron etc.
