Fredericus ......". The other sides with crowned lion (Norske Leu) and inscription "Dominul MIHL auditor". Brass hilt with
straight, angular guard. Ray skin wrapped handle. Edged, pear-shaped brass knob. 124cm. These swords were command
of admirals (and captains) on the "Orlogsschiffen" worn on ceremonial occasions. Even when reading the articles of war
sword was symbolically attached to the mainmast. Similarly, a battle was opened by swing of the sword by the commander
in chief. Rare specimen and historic piece of evidence of the Nordic maritime history.
