Energy Star® Appliance Rebate

Terms & Conditions

This program offers rebates for the purchase of energy-efficient equipment that
meets the Energy Star® standards. Applicants should review the Terms and
Conditions listed below.

1. To qualify for the Energy Star® Appliance Rebate applicants must be a

residential or commercial electric customer of the New Ulm Public Utilities and
be connected to electric service supplied.
2. All energy-efficient equipment is subject to inspection.
3. All appliances must be labeled with the Energy Star® label and meet the Energy
Star® standards.
4. Customers applying for reimbursement of decommission of refrigerator/freezer
must have a receipt showing the cost of the disposal.
5. Effective January 1, 2010, there is a new rebate of $10 for compact/dormitory
refrigerators (those 6 cubic feet or less).
6. All rebates will be reimbursed by check to the customer listed on the utility
account. Please allow 6-8 weeks for rebate processing.
7. Customers must apply for rebates within one year of the purchase date shown on
the sales receipt.
8. Due to limited funds, all rebates are awarded on a first come first serve basis.
9. New Ulm Public Utilities reserves the right to discontinue this program at any
time.

should allow 4-6 weeks for reimbursement.
