5.1 EPMS Subsystem Overview

The performance management subsystem (EPMS) is one of the LMT's subsystems,
providing real-time performance monitoring and performance data report which reflect NE
performance index. Therefore, the maintenance personnel are able to know NE's running
condition, analyze and eliminate faults, to assist in the operation and maintenance of
radio network.
The performance parameters are not described in this manual.
The method of each performance measurement is almost identical, so this manual only
introduces each operation item as an example.

5.2 Measurement Period and Condition

Measurement Period
The period of measurement task in the EPMS can be 1 s (the default value) to 9 s.

Measurement Condition
The measurement task in the EPMS is subject to the availability of object related to this
measurement task.
For example, the measurement task in a cell is subject to the availability of this serving
cell.
