1. When did you realize that the autism features are available on your child?
Since he was 2 years old
2. What are the autism features available on your son? What kind of autism?
He likes to arrange the things in line, prefers to sit alone, less communication with people
(while talking to people, he prefers not to look at the speakers eyes or face), he also does not
give any response to those who call him. He also has an extreme mood, hyperactive
sometimes but he learns something very fast.
According to those who had the same experiences, this kind of autism is called autism genius.
3. What are the parents responses in this case?
At first, I was very unhappy and worry

To ensure more, I took my son to doctor and he was given a variety of tests in order to make
sure what the problem is , so the doctor had confirmed that my son has autism genius.
5. What kind of tests?
The specialist did the behaviour tests such as giving instructions and also doing some IQ tests.
6. Do you agree that parents should explore for additional information in raising the special children?
Yes, I agree.
7. Do you have any problems to approach your child? If yes, what kind of problems?
At first, of course I have a lot of problems because he is my first child and my first experience
in autism.
The biggest problem is budget. Just think, if he wants something expensive and I cannot afford
it so he will be extremely crying, shouting and so on.
8. How do you overcome the problems?
Firstly, I try to console him, if he wants to buy something expensive I try to replace it with a
cheaper one and if he wants to go somewhere if I can, I will take him there. If I cannot make it,
my siblings are willing to help.
9. What kind of approaches that you use in raising your child?
More to persuade him in whatever condition.
10. Did your husband give a hand to overcome the problems?
Yes, of course
11. As parents, how do you feel?
Very sad but thankful because my child was given a good health. He stills can play, run and
learn as a normal child.
12. Who else around you that give support and help?
All my family members. My parents in law, my parents, siblings, husband and friends.
13. What are the professional understandings that are essential for parents to establishing positive
relationship with family members?
They should have deep understanding and knowledge in autism. I always tell them about that.
14. What do parents /society need in order to understand and help children?
They need knowledge and the most important thing is patience
