Continental islands are the Islands that lie on the continental shelf.
Oceanic Islands are those that do not sit on the continental shelves.
Out of 192 countries on United Nations 47 countries are Island Nations.
An Island country is a country that has one or more islands.
GREENLAND:
This is the largest Island in the World.

The biggest Island in Greenland is also named as Greenland.

This is an autonomous country with in the Kingdom of Denmark.

This is located between Arctic and Atlantic Oceans.

NEW GUINEA ISLAND:

This is the second largest Island in the World after Greenland.

This is located in the South-West of Pacific Ocean.

BORNEO ISLAND:
This is the 3rd largest Island in the World.

This is located in the North of Australia.

This island is divided among three countries Brunei, Indonesia and Malaysia.
About 73% is present in Indonesia.

MADAGASCAR ISLAND:
This is located in the Indian Ocean.

This is a part of African Continent.

This is the largest Island in the Indian Ocean.
This is the 4th largest Island in the World.

SRI LANKA:
This is locates in the Indian Ocean.

Brajesh Yadav sir is there addition of water through rivers

affect the salinity of that sea, like higher the water added
through rivers which have more content of rain water +
