TYPHOON YOLANDA HUMANITARIAN RESPONSE

EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES
Plan International is one of the oldest and largest international development
agencies in the world. In the Philippines, Plan works with children and their
families in the poor communities with programs covering education, child and
youth engagement, health (including water and environmental sanitation), and
child protection.
Plan International has launched a major disaster response effort to help alleviate the suffering and
preserve human dignity among the survivors of Typhoon Yolanda. For this purpose, Plan
International invites highly competent, experienced and committed professionals to fill the
following positions in various sectors:

Project Manager (Recovery Support to Typhoon Haiyan Affected


Communities in Eastern Visayas) (16 months), Based in Tacloban City
The Project Manager provides overall project management to the livelihood; health and birth
registration components of the project including reporting results based monitoring, evaluation,
accountability and learning.
Qualifications:

Masters degree in international development, business, economics, or related field of study or


equivalent work experience required.
Significant experience working on humanitarian assistance.
Has demonstrated ability in implementing deadline driven projects and in tracking project
quality through approved monitoring and evaluation systems.
Has proven experience in managing, training and supervising teams.
Has proven leadership, inter-personal and cross-cultural skills, and has ability to build and
motivate diverse teams.
Has excellent English oral and written communication skills; knowledge and use of local
language is an advantage
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
