Steps

Resources

Press Ctrl + Alt + Delete to access the Novell login screen.

N/A

Enter your HB number and temporary password provided to you by

your manager.

Temporary password = (in all caps) HB$

+ first name initial + last name initial + last
three numbers of your Social Security

2
Password example for John Doe:
HB$JD999
Create a new password when prompted.
A great way to create a strong, memorable password is to start with a
familiar phrase and create an acronym.

Passwords should be approximately 8-10

characters/digits in length and consist of
both letters and numbers.

For example "a penny saved is a penny earned."

Take the first letter from each word in the phrase and you get
"apsiape".

Capitalize one of the letters and add your favorite number.

Example: "aPsiape45"

When asked to change the password, simply implement the

number (by 1, 5 or 10) "aPsiape55".

Pick another phrase and try using that to create your first 90day password (Do not use the above example as your
password).
