Final Demonstration
Mr. JOHN MICHAEL AQUINO
In MAPEH-IV, I am the last demonstrator and NERVOUS is the only word that
remains in my mind. When I started in my demo teaching I thought that I need to do my
best for the effort of my friends TRUENDS, support of my family especially Tita Merly
and Mam Unating, Ate Hanna and my mother, by saying kayang-kaya mo yan Mam
Marie and other teachers. Im so thankful for them. But in terms of the lesson, I follow
my guide- the lesson plan which I do. The topic that Ive discussed was THEATER-The
General Features f Theater Stage. I am started in showing a video clip which shows the
calamity turns flashflood by Philippine Educational Theater Association-RAK AEGIS. It
is a musical play. After that, we have an activity and I need 5 volunteers for the activity
and they raised their hands to participate to the said activity. The activity was called
ACT WITH THE LINE . The students will act the famous line in Filipino Movie and will
pick the corresponding emotion or reaction. For example is Walang himala by Nora
Aunor with a surprised reaction. The students enjoyed the activity and Ive asked them
about the activity on how it affects in the line with inappropriate reaction or emotion.
They have different emotion, insight and idea. They gave the definition of theater and
what are the different kinds of theater- Drama, Comedy, Musical Theater and Tragedy. I
showed a picture. After that, I gave six pictures which is the different types of theater
stage. Based from the pictures, they will determine the definition of each picture. The

differe
nt types of Theater stage are Stadium/Arena, Theater in the Round, Thrust, traverse
and Proscenium. They have different structure and size. After that, I made another
activity. I gave the materials to all students to be able to have participation during the
teaching-learning process between the teacher and the students. After the discussion,
they need to create a play that will maximize the theater stage but before that, I do a
sample on how to deliver a line in different parts of theater stage. In-part of the students,
they have their own concept between the two groups. 4 th year-Newton is very good for a
very nice performance. I gave also an assignment that we will discuss in the next
meeting which is about film.
I prepare all the instructional materials before the day of my teaching. In my
teaching, I used powerpoint presentation that shows the description of kinds of theater
and its picture, video clip as used for motivation traditional as cartolina, printed pictures
and placards, and the miniature of theater stage. I have finished all of these because of
all people around me who gave their trust that I can do it. And I know that students learn
in 1 hour discussion or conversation in my final demonstration.
