GONE HOME TO GLORY

Richard "Dick" Davidson

Dick served the Lord as an elderfor 11 years at Libby Christian Church, Libby, MT. In 1987,

he and his wife Kay committed their lives as missionaries in the Philippines. They worked
with Charles and Florence Littellfor two years, then joined Bert & Mary Bureros at Cagayan

Valley Children's Home. In 1990 they started a Satellite Home of Cagayan Valley Children's
Home. This is presently located in Solano, seven hours travel south of the main Home, in a
very needy area. Dick was not only director of the Home, but pastor of the church that meets
in the Home, and teacher of Bible studies for the workers, the children and the neighbors, and
was also Lolo (Grandpa) to the 23 children. In August, the Davidsons came to the States to
seek treatment for what proved to be a cancerous tumor in Dick's spine. Following surgery
and radiation and a valiant effort to recover, he succumbed Dec. 21, 2000. Kay said he went
Home for Christmas. Mary Bureros said of him, "He was a great help and influence on the
children (and the rest of us), and a wonderful man of God." His wife said, "He was a gentle
man with a sense of humor, who loved the Lord and served Himfaithfully. He will begreatly
missed by his wife, five children, fourteen grandchildren, the children in the Philippines, all his
family (mother, sister, brother, and others), and manyfriends." Kay is returning to the work
at the Satellite Home in February. Please pray for the family, her preparation and departure,

and for her ability to comfort and strengthen the children and staff at the Home. There is a
memorial fund established to provide playground equipment for the Solano Satellite home.

AGTA HOUSE FINISHED

In January we were able to start

building the rest house for visiting
Agta. It is constructed in a manner
typical of Agta houses, a native
open style, as they do not like
being confined inside. We now
have an Agta man and his family
living there, and they will be re
sponsible to care for those who
may need to spend the night be
cause of illness or traveling. The
house is near us, but far enough

as out of your abundance, and we

so appreciate you. May the Lord

bless each of you.
