CHAPTER 1. INTRODUCTION
1.1 The Problem and Its Setting
1.1.1 Background of the Study
Each of us seeks to be well, healthy and be physically alive. Many
people do not realize the importance of good health, and even if they do,
they may still disregard it. We need good health in order to perform our
duties well. Everything we eat does one of two things: it either nourishes us
or poisons us.
The organinc food as the most effective way to having more nutritious food
rather than the natural food.
1.1.2 Statement of the Problem
To propose an Organic Talipapa, we can solve problems such as:

Lot of organic plants were planted.


Wrong place to sell the goods of the vendors.

1.1.3 Architectural Thesis Goals/Objectives/Strategies


Relocate the vendors into a proper place.
Promote the organic products.
Make use with the organic plants that were planted.
1.1.4 Scope and Limitations
The coverage of the study will discuss on how to make use with the
plants that are prevalent planted and other goods that might sell like
abaca which is one of the source of people living here. The project
also differs from the other market. Don Ignacio Dimson Lubao,
Pampanga will benefit and its jurisdiction and people from near
barangays.
1.1.5 Purpose/Relevance/Significance of the Study
The study will promote organic products. It will also conduct on how
this project will work for the barangay and its people.
1.1.6 Assumptions
The study evaluates that everyone has a right to have a healthy
condition.

a. Talipapa fish market with temporary stalls under flat sheds
b. Organic are not processed foods
c. Vendor someone who promotes or exchanges goods or services for
money

People from barangay or vendors can make an income through this project.
Vendors who only sell their goods outside of their own house, will now have
the right place wherein they can promote the goods they are intending to
sell.
1.3 Theoretical/Conceptual Framework
Organic products will be sell with its prize. Vendors can sell their goods on
the right place. The barangay will benefit, its jurisdiction and near
barangays.

3.1 Situational Analysis

3.2 The Site


3.2.1 Background
Don Ignacio Dimson (Dau 2nd) belongs to the group of sub-urban zone
of Lubao, Pampanga. It is a populated barangay forming around the uraban
core. It is gradually becoming urbanized. The economy is a mixture of
agriculture trading, industries and general services.
3.2.2 Site Selection Criteria

Topography
Lubaos terrain is generally flat. Its elevation is between 0-3 meters
only.
Climate
It has 2 distinct climates, a rainy season and a dry season. The rain or
wet season normally starts in May and runs through October and the
rest of the year is the dry season.

3.2.3 Site Selection and Justification
Barangay Don Ignacio Dimson (Dau 2nd) has a population of 4 614
according to the Census of Population and Housing of the National
Statistics Office. Having a market or an Organic Talipapa is good. The
barangay itself will benefit, its jurisdiction and near barangays.

3.2.4 Site Analysis


Lubao is one of the 22 municipalities of the province of Pampanga. It is
located at the western part of the province. It is bounded by the
municipalities of Guagua on the north, Samuan on the east,
Floridablanca on the west and Orani, Bataan on the south.
Barangay Don Ignacio Dimson Lubao, Pampanga wherein our proposed
project is located has a total population of 4 614. It is a barrio that is
good on its agriculture.

The exact location of the proposed project is surrounded by two
rounds. It has also a tricycle terminal.

3.2.5 SWOT Analaysis


Strength It produce employment to the people of its jurisdiction and to
the nearest barangay.
Weakness Organic products which are to be sold in a seasonal
manner.
Opportunities It creates job and income to the community.
Threats Run of sold products.
3.3 Viability Studies
3.3.1 Financial Viability and Marketing Viability
The funds that will going to be used to construct the proposed project
Organic Talipapa, will be supported by the development fund of the
barangay.
Process to pursue the project:
1. The project can be a resolution.
2. The project will be tackled to all barangay officials and they will decide or
vote if they are going to pursue the said project.
3. It has to be feasible and get money from the defelopment fund of the
barangay.

4.1 Behavioral Analysis
Lubao has a total land area of 15 731.11 hectares. It is a first class
municipality composed of 44 barangays. Lubao is the largest producing town
in the province of Pampanga. 66.60% or 10 476.1 hectares are being utilized
for agriculture. Of this, 8 890.2 hectares hectares are used for crop
production.

5.3 Design Concept


The project seeks to minimize the negative environmental of buildings by
efficiency and moderation in the use of materials, energy and development
space. It expands and complements the building design concerns of
economy, utility, durability and comfort. The proposed project concentrates
with bamboos to be used as a building material.
5.4 Design Inspiration
The design was inspired by the bamboos which are common in the barangay
wherein the proposed project is located.
