Cylindrical ring layers are bolted together and installed over a Reinforced Concrete Ring
Beam Foundation filled with compacted clean sand.
Curved panels forming the top ring layer are bolted together at the vertical and horizontal
edges and installed on to the concrete ring beam foundation.
Hot Dipped Galvanized Steel trusses and SHS Reinforcement hoops are secured at the top
ring layer over which roof panels are fastened.
A Geotextile woven fabric underlay is installed over the compacted clean sand base floor to
cover any foreign particles/debris.
An impermeable, Fiber Reinforced PVC Food Grade Liner is installed over the Geotextile
fabric underlay and is connected inside the tanks shell.
Roof Access Hatch/Manhole is installed.
External ladder (HDG) is attached.
Inlet, Outlet, Overflow and drain Nozzles are fixed as per requirements.
The Mechanical Jacking System is attached to the tanks wall using the wall structures bolting
connections and is bolted at the base plate to the concrete ring beam foundation.
The ring layers are progressively added in and raised using the Mechanical Jacking System,
no scaffolding or working at heights is required.
On completion, the Installation Report is to be signed in the presence of the PWT Site
Technician.

Before filling the water, ensure all pipe-works leading into the tanks have been provided with
proper ground support. Piping without support should not be connected directly to the tank
structure without prior discussion and agreement with Pioneer Water Tanks (PWT).
Outlet(s) and Interconnection (if any) should be closed prior to filling the tanks.
Ensure that there is no debris or foreign particles inside the tanks prior to commencing with
the filling process.
Inform PWT Site Technician of readiness to fill the tanks.
After approval from the PWT Site Technician, commence with filling the tanks to a height of
one meter.
Keep the tanks water level at one meter overnight. Inspect for any signs of leakage
particularly at the flanges/ interconnections (if any). If there are any signs of leakage, the
PWT site Technician is to be notified immediately and filling to cease until further
consultation and a course of action has been agreed upon.
If after visual inspection the water level remains at 1 meter, resume filling the tank to the
Overflow level.
Continue to inspect the tanks while filling. If there are any visible signs of leakage, the PWT
site Technician is to be notified immediately and filling to cease until further consultation and
a course of action has been agreed upon.
The PWT Site Technician is to be informed upon completion of the filling process.
The Installation Report is to be signed in the presence of the PWT Site Technician.
