Activity III

T. asks Ss to listen to three radio adverts


and identify the products which are
advertised. Teacher asks them to pay
attention to the key words used for each
product.
Students check in pairs and then teacher
conducts feedback.

ex.2, page 57, then they compare their
answers with a partner.

Students are asked to do ex. 2.1 and 2.2


which focus on verbs followed by
prepositions used to describe objects in
adverts. They are also asked to think of
some other expressions that could be
used for the same products by referring
to the previous activities.
Teacher conducts feedback.
Teacher organises the class in groups of
4 and gives each group a photo with a
product. Each group is allowed 10 to
prepare a short presentation (1) which
will be included in a radio commercial.
They have to consider the following
aspects: the advantages of the product,
the appearance, what it can do, who the

target audience is, etc.


Teacher monitors students to make sure
they are using some of the key language
in the unit, and to help them choose the
appropriate words and expressions.
When the preparation time is over
students present their work to the whole
class.
