I am responsible for assisting my supervisor with the curation and circulation of collections of school textbooks,
childrens and young adult literature, and digital technology items. I also perform a number of other tasks,
related to document generation (i.e. copying, book scanning, digital publishing and typography). Major
projects include curating two off-site collections as part of an after-school program operated by a professor in
the Teaching and Learning department.

{ Independent Study Sleuthing and Stimming: Autistic!Sherlock Headcanons and the Cultural Politics of
Autism
I conducted an independent study under the supervision of Beth Younger, Ph.D., concerning the role of
fan texts in the mediation of cultural identities, specifically dealing with representations of individuals on
the autism spectrum. The result of this independent study has been accepted to the 2015 Popular Culture
Association/American Culture Association National Conference.
{ Major paper The Neurodiversity Movement: Facts, Positions, and Implications for Educators In this
paper, prepared for an introductory-level course concering the needs of exceptional learners, I outline a
link between the neurodiversity movement and the practice of a classroom teacher. Rather than pursue
traditional publication, the paper was placed in an online repository to ensure access for teachers and
activists who lack access to traditional academic resources.
