My name is Carlin Giles. I have been

married to a wonderful man for 16
years and have two amazing daughters, ages 14 and 11. My journey to the
Papillion Center began 18 years ago in
Auburn, AL. I graduated from Auburn
with a Criminal Justice degree and Masters in Counseling. While awaiting the

Juvenile Probation register to open, I began my work with trauma victims in the
Child Advocacy Centers. I was a forensic
interviewer in both Alabama and Tennessee. With two young children, working
closer to home was an option, when God
opened the door at Pope John Paul II High
School. After five years, God decided I
needed to spend more time with my girls,
when he offered me the challenge of
opening a private practice. After a few
years, God allowed me to join the Papillion Center, in January 2014. As I look
over the past year at the center, I have
seen mountains moved and the lives of
children and their families changed forever. There have been many tears and joys
shared among the staff, which makes our
team the most successful women I have
been blessed to work with. This job
provides me many opportunities to praise
God everyday in my life and the lives of
the families we serve within our center. I
look forward to many more years of
watching God work in the lives of the
families we serve.

News from the Director Chris Troutt, LMFT

Easter is quickly approaching and I am reminded of Christs sacrifice during this Holy Week. I am forever thankful
that Christ paid the price so that we can walk in His peace and grace! My prayer is that the Papillion Center will be a
light in the darkness and allow God to work through us to bring hope & healing to those we serve.

brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed. We all, like sheep, have gone

FASD Inter-Disciplinary Diagnostic Clinic

The Papillion Center began offering an FASD Inter-Disciplinary Diagnostic Clinic in 2015. The clinic is
held monthly.
This is an extensive evaluation that will help families develop a clear plan to best help their child.
The evaluation will be conducted by a Developmental Pediatrician, a Psychologist, a Speech and Language Pathologist, and an Occupational Therapist. A Program Coordinator will be working with families
on the front end to gather information and a Parent Navigator/Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist will
walk through the process with parents to offer explanations, conduct a brief Trust Based Relational Intervention training and provide follow up at two weeks, three and six months.
If you are interested in learning more, please contact jennifer@papillioncenter.org or
chris@papillioncenter.org or call the office at 615-590-7213.
