Introduction
These assembly instructions describe
the standard configuration of the PERI
DOMINO wall formwork system with
a formwork height H = 250.
The intended use is shown in the basic
assembly, the utilization of individual
components and the accessories for
special applications.

In addition, these assembly instructions

are supplemented by details regarding
the correct care of the equipment.
Dimensions without any units are
specified in cm.

The programme overview that follows

at the end features all system
components complete with
dimensions and item numbers.
If you should have any questions,
please contact your local PERI sales
engineer.

Product features
The DOMINO wall formwork system
is a lightweight panel formwork for
housing and civil engineering
(foundations) projects with elements
made of steel and aluminium.
The basic equipment includes panel,
corner and stopend elements as well
as length compensation and scaffold
brackets. For element connections,
the alignment coupler or wedge clamp
along with the compensation waler
are used, as well as all additional parts
required to carry out forming.
The elements are used in a vertical
position, and horizontally for
foundations. The units points make
this possible.
The system can be extended in 25 cm
increments.
Steel components are red powdercoated, aluminium elements are
yellow.

Intended use
These assembly instructions contain
details for the application and intended
use of the PERI DOMINO wall
formwork system. Safety information
and load specifications must be
followed at all times.
Special permission must be given
by PERI if the formwork is to be used
for other applications other than
those it has been designed for
together with the provision of
supplementary assembly
instructions.

Only materials in perfect condition may

be used. Any damaged components
must be replaced.
All valid safety and environmental
regulations of each country where our
product is used are to be observed at
all times.

These assembly instructions, as well

as PERI offer and implementation
plans, do not replace specific
construction site work and assembly
instructions of the operator.

The product has been designed for

commercial use only.

Safety instructions
These assembly instructions are
directed at site personnel who work
with the DOMINO wall formwork
system.
Non-observance of assembly
guidelines and safety information
can lead to accidents and damage
to materials.
Obligations of the operator:
1. The operator must ensure that all
instructions required for the
duration of the project are at the
users disposal (includes the PERI
assembly instructions).
2. All persons working with the
product must be familiar with the
content of these instructions and
safety information.
3. Persons who cannot or have great
difficulty in reading and
understanding these instructions
must inform and then be fully
briefed by the operator.
4. The operator has to ensure that
assembly, adjusting and
dismantling, moving as well as
standard use of the product is
supervised by trained and
authorized personnel.
5. The operator is obliged to provide
all prerequisites to ensure
compliance with applicable safety
regulations.
Safety instructions:
1. DOMINO components are to be
checked before every use to make
sure they are in perfect condition!
Damaged parts are to be replaced
by PERI original components!
2. DOMINO is to be erected according
to the assembly instructions to
ensure that all load effects are safely
transferred!

5. Safe access ways must be provided

for site personnel to reach all
working areas!
6. Safety barriers must be installed
on all working areas to prevent site
personnel from falling!

Care instructions for the formlining

An immersion vibrator complete with
rubber cap minimizes any damage to
the formlining.
Spacers with large support plates for
reinforcement reduce indentations

7. Avoid using areas of risk during

unfavourable weather conditions!
8. Striking only takes place when the
concrete is hard enough and site
management has given the goahead!
9. Use suitable tools and equipment
during striking and moving! Do not
tear away formwork elements from
the concreted wall with the crane!
10.Do not put the stability of the
structural elements, scaffolding and
formwork components at risk
during striking!
11. Only transport formwork
components with hoisting and loadcarrying equipment if suitable
attachment possibilities are
available!
12.The weight of the components
must not exceed the permissible
load capacity of the lifting gear!
13.Remove any loose parts or secure
accordingly to prevent them falling
off!
14.Remove lifting accessories from a
lowered formwork component or
unit only when it is in a stable
position!
15.Formwork elements are to be
guided with ropes during strong
wind conditions! Avoid any
collisions with other objects!
16.Components must be stored and
transported in a stable position to
avoid any unintentional movement!

Currently, the following is of particular
importance:

C1 Maintenance
and cleaning
What needs to be done?
Maintenance tips
1. Spray formwork on all sides before first use with
a release agent e.g. PERI BIO Clean.

Why?
Provides good protection against sticking and
corrosion before first dirt accumulation. Prevents
complete moistening with a release agent.

2. Spray formlining every time after striking with PERI

Bio Clean, then clean.

Helps to remove concrete surplus and makes cleaning

easier. Removing by force or scraping off is not
necessary. Formlining and paintwork remain intact.

3. For longer storage periods, e.g. bad weather, store

formwork materials in clean condition and sprayed.

The frame is protected against corrosion and

weathering.

4. Spray (grease if necessary) all moving parts regularly

with a release agent.

Removes rust, prevents corrosion and keeps parts

in good working order.

5. Transport elements with suitable, as well as safe,

transportation and lifting gear.

Avoids damage through improper transportation.

6. Ensure elements and accessories are properly

stored.

Prevents damage to the element frame and

accessories. Damage to the formlining through
indentations is avoided.

7. Do not throw or drop accessories.

Maintains the functionality of the parts.

8. Never use unnecessary force during assembly

and dismantling.

Maintains the functionality of the parts.

Cleaning tips
Ensure elements are in a secure position during
cleaning!
Cleaning of elements to the crane (without contact
to the ground) is not allowed!
Remove concrete surplus!
1. Immediately after concreting, spray the rear side
of the formwork with water.

Concrete has not yet hardened and can easily be

removed. This reduces the amount of cleaning
required.

2. After striking has taken place, spray formwork all

over with PERI Bio Clean.

Penetrates the concrete surplus, breaks it up and

makes subsequent mechanical cleaning much easier.

3. Remove nails, battens etc. from the plywood before

any mechanical cleaning.

Unnecessary enlargement of nail holes and damage

to the formlining is avoided. No damage to cleaning
equipment.

4. Mechanically clean the elements using suitable

equipment e.g. scraper.
5. Brush clean the elements after mechanical cleaning.
Remove dust and loosened concrete surplus.
6. After shuttering, element may require spraying
again.

38

Formlining surface is clean for the next use.

C2 Repairs
Smaller repairs can be carried out on
the construction site, e.g. with repair
veneer and cross-pieces
Bigger repairs, e.g. change of
formlining, are to be done by PERI or
at a suitable work station.
Spare parts and tools are available from
the PERI product range.

C3 Storage and
Transport

When using load-carrying

equipment, the instructions for use
must be followed at all times:
