AQUA SEAL
ELASTOMERIC
WATERPROOFING SYSTEM
AQUA SEAL is a Single component Liquid Applied, high resilient waterproofing system based
on modified Acrylic Resin. It cures on exposure to
atmosphere and forms an Elastomeric Seamless
Membrane.
TYPICAL APPLICATIONS
l Roof deck and walls (either concrete or
cement) mortar, wood and metal.
l Over terrazzo tiles / asbestos roof.
l Can be applied over spray applied polyurethane foam and other materials that are
ultra violet degradable.
l Under tiled areas i.e. bathroom, toilets and
kitchens.

ADVANTAGES
l AQUA SEAL is a single component compound and ready to use from the container
without mixing.
l No catalysts are necessary as AQUA
SEAL self cures when exposed.
l Cold applied by spray, bush, roller or
squeegee.
l AQUA SEAL cuts cost of application by
eliminating mixing, splicing sealing tapes,
adhesives and other labor consuming
methods required when installing other
conventional types of waterproofing system.
l Does not create mess and objectionable
odor.
l Provides a seamless (No joint) waterproofing.
l AQUA SEAL is applied in a thixotropic
consistency and may be used on vertical
as well as horizontal surfaces. It will follow the contour of any irregular surfaces
maintaining uniform thickness.
l The superior flexibility and elongation
properties of AQUA SEAL allow expansion and contraction of the substrate without cracking or becoming brittle.

l Service temperature is from -29 o. to

+93oC.
l Non-flammable, non-toxic and environmentally safe.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Surface Preparation
All surfaces must be clean and free of all, dirt,
grease or other contaminants which will interfere
with adhesion.
All concrete surface to receive AQUA SEAL coating shall be cleaned by sandblasting or acid etching. If acid etching is used, 10% to 15% Muriatic
Acid solution apply by mop or broom, this will be
allowed to remain on the surface approx. 10 minutes or until bubbling ceases. Surface will then
be thoroughly washed with clean water to remove
all residue and allow to dry. Voids and spaces
with a diameter and depth of more than 3 mm should
be patched with repair mortar.
Terrazzo Tiles / Asbestos Roof
Repair and Re-Grout tiles having damaged or
washed out joints, asbestos roofs and other roofing materials must be structurally sound prior to
AQUA SEAL application.
APPLICATION
Apply AQUA SEAL as recommended by the manufacturer.
All cracks of 1.5 mm and over must be routed or
saw cut and sealed with approved Elastromeric
Sealant or filled with Repair Mortar.
Prime porous and slightly textured surfaces with
diluted/thinned AQUA SEAL, 4 liters water and 20
liters AQUA SEAL at a thickness between 100-

At intersections of membrane and vertical walls,
columns, pipes and other penetrations including
cracks and control joints, impregnate glass, cloth
tape in between coats of AQUA SEAL.
Apply AQUA SEAL by airless spray, roller, brush
or squeegee at a rate of 1.0 liter/Sqm./coat. After 24 hours of curing, apply second coat at 1.0
liter/Sqm. / coat to achieve a total dry film thickness of each coat which can be checked by averaging numerous measurements taken with a
film gauge.
COVERAGE
0.5 Sqm./ltr at 1 mm DFT depending on surface
profile.
CLEAN UP
Clean tools and equipment with water. All tools
and equipment should be cleaned immediately.
PRECAUTIONS & LIMITATIONS
l Do not apply if ambient temperature is
below 4 Deg. C. Opened containers should
always be covered when not in use.
l Do not apply over wet surfaces and over
free-standing water.
