Roll out Modality

Hardware configuration:
Select Two Systems that have a good configuration and are known to be in good
working condition and perform the following procedure for configuration:
For XP:
Select My Net Work Places on Desktop
Right Click on it

Select Properties

Select Local Area Connection

Right Click on it

Select Properties

Select Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)

Click on Properties

Enter Value for Default Gate way As : 10.62.1.1


(The above value for your office is Your Server IP less 10 in the last column)
Enter Value for Preferred DNS Server as 10.90.33.126
Enter Value for Alternate DNS Server as : 172.16.10.27

Check that you have entered all the values correctly and click on OK to
confirm.

2.Install Mozilla Fire Fox Version 3.0.1 given in the CD


After installation Double click on Mozilla Fire Fox, after the blank page
opens click on Tools Options - Content Uncheck Block pop-up
windows - OK.
3. Install Java Runtime jre-1_5_0_10-windows-i586-p given in the CD
(Before Installation Check through Start Menu - Settings - control
panel - Add or Remove Programs if there is any other version of Java
Run time Remove it)
4.Install Acrobat Reader Given in the CD
5. Share the Laser Printer to the Current System and advise the user to keep
it as default printer when working with CWISS motor Module.
6. Copy the file Hosts in CD to C:\windows\system32\drivers\etc
7. Double click on Mozilla Fire fox Shortcut on Desk top this will open a new
page enter http:// www.portal.com:7781\pls\portal and enjoy CWISS.

Roll out:
Offices Proposed for Roll Out in first Phase are those with Less than 6000
Motor Documents and include all offices except Vizag DO I, Vizag DO II, NAD
Branch, Kakinada BR II, Eluru, Vijayawada DO I, Vijayawada BR I,
Vijayawada DO II where motor Documents are more than 6000.

You are Ready if:


You are good at Data Entry, Making Payments and registering Claims, We
intend to Roll Out, But we cannot wait Indefinitely for that, All the operating
offices personnel currently undergoing training are expected to go live in
another two weeks time.
Your Database is Ready:
When there are no provisional Policies Pending Conversion
When there are no Excess collections to be refunded
When there are no cheque dishonors to be accounted
When there are no claims pending for Disbursement i.e after Claim Settlement
and Claim Settlement Approval.
All Commission related Issues and Claims Outstanding even after settlement to
the possible extent resolve them in Genisys

Clear and Detailed Guidelines are awaited the above are in General

Before Going On Live Run:

Genisys Motor Module Will be closed on the previous day for ever
Data up to day of closing Genisys is extracted and merged with Central Server
through Data Migration
In case of any last minute hitch with Data Migration we will account the
documents in scroll for a day on CWISS and migrate to live data entry on the
next day.

How To Connect to CWISS at my Office:


Switch on the Router
Switch on the Switch
Start your PC and Work on CWISS
You need not Start the Genisys Server

Trouble Shooting:
How to Decide on whether the link is down or CWISS server is Down
When you are unable to connect to CWISS Check the following:
Start Menu Run ping gate way (e.g. 10.62.7.1)
The following message should appear if not the link is down
Then Check the LAN connection of the Router
Power down the Modems and power on them again
And check again with
Start Menu Run ping gate way (e.g. 10.62.7.1)

Even after the above if you cannot connect connect to CWISS then
Start Menu Run ping BSNL IP (e.g. 172.31.190.221)
The following message should appear if not the link is down
Contact BSNL and ask for link rectification
