Composer Notes
This Gospel acclamation is suitable for any Sunday outside of Lent, and verses are given for a
variety of themes. It is especially suitable at funerals, for which two alternative verses are
provided. Verses may be sung by cantor or choir, or even in unison by the assembly.
If the gospel procession is long, sing more than one verse. Save the descant until the final refrain.
Instrumental parts are given for variety, especially when the acclamation is sung many times
throughout the year.
