Dear Friend,
Greetings in the wonderful name of our Lord Jesus Christ. We're
finally heading into spring! New life is about to come forth, "...and the time of
the singing of birds is come..." (Song of Solomon 2:12).
There is an old saying that goes something like this: "A person is not truly
rich until they have something money cannot buy." Whoever said that must have
found something money cannot buy! I have found this to be true. Though I have
never had excess amounts of money, I certainly became a rich man when the Lord
Jesus came into my life! To put our trust in money is not a wise decision because
too many people have the means to steal it. There was a parable Jesus taught many
years ago that I cherish. Matthew 13: 45 & 46 says, "Again, the kingdom of
heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls: Who, when he
had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought
it." At one time, I was like that merchant man, seeking goodly pearls: anything
that could fill the longing in my heart. I have a wonderful family that loves me (as
I do them), but there seemed to be something missing. I tried a lot of things to fill
that empty space in my heart. I didn't realize that the Lord made me with that
empty space: He reserved it for Himself! I tried to fill it with friendships, sports,
music: you name it! But at the end of the day I wasn't satisfied. Many people even
try to quench their thirst with more religion. But not even religion can take the
place of a personal experience with Christ Jesus.
The wisest man in the Old Testament, King Solomon, said he searched
through the streets of the city to "seek Him whom my soul loveth: I sought Him,
but I found him not" (Song of Solomon 3:2). What avenue have you looked
down to find Him whom your soul loves? Some have stopped looking, thinking
it's useless. But I'm here to tell you, "Don't stop looking for Him!" That day you
search for Him with all your heart, He will be found of you. He said to ask, seek,
and knock, for your answer is on its way! Jesus said, "Ask, and it shall be given
you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you"
(Matthew 7:7-11). Don't let discouragements keep you from asking, seeking, and
knocking on heaven's door. I kept looking for the answers. I never gave up, and

one day the Lord directed me to a place in time that would change my life forever.
Leaving a store on Main Street in Manchester, CT one day I met two young
women who invited me to their church. They had Bibles and quoted me a verse of
Scripture. I said no at first, because I grew up going to church with my parents. I
thought I knew everything I needed to about Jesus. But there was something they
said that changed my outlook. I said it was not for me, but one of them said,
"Jesus died for all of us, so this is for you!" A few weeks later I found myself
sitting with her in church, still rather skeptical about the whole thing. But one
night I sincerely prayed. And it was a strange prayer: I said, "Lord, I don't believe
you are real, but if you are, please show yourself to me!" All of a sudden, it
seemed the clouds of doubt and unbelief had rolled away and I knew God
answered that prayer! It actually scared me, to think Almighty God heard me at
that moment and touched me! I didn't know what to do with myself! I ran inside
(for I was in my parents backyard) and went to my room. I ran outside again, so
excited. I found the pearl of great price, and it was Jesus all along!
Soon after, I went to church with her again and answered the altar call and
received prayer from the pastor. The following week I was water baptized in the
name of Jesus and later I received the Holy Spirit, which was another wonderful
experience! But the riches of the knowledge of Christ is far greater than any other
experience a human can have. He loves you and He desires to dwell in your heart
by faith. If you ask Him to forgive you of your sins, He will! He will come into
your heart and prepare you for heaven one day. He will fill that emptiness inside
with His presence of love, joy, and peace. Jesus makes all the difference in the
world! Even when you go through difficult times, He will be there for you. He
said He would never leave you or forsake you, even to the end. Let this springtime be the greatest time in your life by asking the Lord Jesus Christ into your
heart. You will never regret it if you do! Receiving the "pearl of great price" into
your life is worth all the effort and sacrifice that goes into finding Him!
From all of us here at the church, may God bless you "more abundantly"
always. You are in our prayers. Also, I invite you to our services. Our schedule is
Sunday at 10 AM and 7 PM and Wednesday at 7:30 PM.
Sincerely,

Rev. Daniel Bossidy
