holes.Asmuchasaspellcheckercanfixabadlywrittentext,Repaircollectioncanfixsomeproblemsproducedbyharddiskmalfunction,viruses,orerrorsincopyingfiles.If
Repaircollectioncannotfixaproblem,youwillhavetoreturntoyourmostrecentbackup.Remembertobackupoften!
YoucanquicklyexecuteRepaircollectionbychoosingCtrl+F12orclickingtheredcrossiconontheActionstoolbar.
RepaircollectionisonlypossibleinthefullaccessmodeinanunlockedSuperMemo.Ifthefullaccessisturnedoff,useTools:OptionsorpressAlt+OandselectAccess:
Accessmode:Fullaccess.
Integrityproblemsinacollectionmayappearincaseofhardwareorsystemsoftwareproblems.Badclusters,lostsectors,datacorruption,etc.canoftenberemediedbyreplacing
affectedfiles(e.g.corruptedMpegfile,etc.).However,iftheproblemoccursinSuperMemoindexfilesorfilesstoringoptimizationdatausedbyrepetitionspacingalgorithm,only

Important!Unlessyouhavearecentbackuphandy,youshouldcheckthebackupoptionbeforerunningRepaircollection.YoushouldneverabortSuperMemomanually(e.g.
withCtrl+Alt+Del:TaskManager:EndProcess).ThisisparticularlytrueduringRepaircollection.Ifyouaborttherepairoperationwhilefilesarebeingrebuilt,yourcollection
maybedamagedbeyondrepair!
Beforeyoubegintherecovery,chooseappropriaterecoveryoptionsinRecoveryoptionsdialogbox.
Repaircollectiondoesnotrecoverfromsomeerrortypes.HerearesomeerrorsthatarenotremediedwithRepaircollection:
damagetobinaryfilessuchasJPG,MP3,AVI,EXE,etc.ReplacethesefilefromtheoriginalCDROMorfromyourbackupstorage.Ifyoudonothaveabackupofthesefiles,
youwillhavetoremovethembyusingDeleteintherelevantregistry,orrecreatetheminanotherway.
