How can I use science for the future development of

our country

Human civilization is now growing at a fast rate. This growth is

fueled by nothing but science. Science now became the pillars of our
development and humans are even capable of putting things on other planets
which are millions of kilometres away from us.
In this scenario the major discussion is to exploit the scope of science
for development of mankind. Newer and newer technologies are now being
developed by different nations which is considered as an index of there
development. Yes, truly it is an index of the development and can put the
nation into an even higher orbit as compared to others.
For a country like India, it is important to develop new technologies
which will in turn help in the overall development of our country. Our
country is among the top in the world in terms of technological
development. We are some what equal to NASA in space technology, China
in industrial development and overall the most culturally developed country
Our country is effectively using science and technology for the
development of common man. ISRO played a major role in the rescue
operation during Kashmir flood and helped in the early warning of cyclones
and other natural disasters. Also different institutions like ICAR etc helped
in developing the agricultural sector in India which supported India to grow
as a great agrarian economy.
In future our plan should be focused on using our scientific
capabilities to impart education to rural population, to introduce tele
medicine, development of regional navigation system, improving health
facilities, agricultural development, commerce etc,
Tele education, which is very helpful for rural education should be
given high preference and should be introduced in every village in our
country. Giving education to our population can only trigger our countries
development. An uneducated population is a burden to our country rather
than an asset. Tele education will give hope to millions of young minds in
our country.
Our country is now developing a regional navigation system which
will help the people in a variety of ways. If our countries navigation system
is reaching full potential, then it can be used effectively used for navigation
in places like rural villages, hilly terrains etc, which will otherwise be very

difficult. Air and marine navigation and our army will also be benefited from
this.
Promoting research in field of biotechnology and medicine is also
important for a country. New technology of disease diagnosis and treatment
is providing a high hope for our countries rural population. These
technologies can help in the development of other facilities which will
provide these facilities at a feasible rate for our population.
Since our countrys economy is an agrarian economy, a significant
effort should be made in the development of new technologies for
agricultural development. Indian Council Of Agricultural Research has
played a major role in enabling the country to increase the production of
food grains, horticultural crops, milk production etc. it also successfully
developed pest and disease resistant crop for better yield.
But like other side of a coin technology is misused which became a
sole cause of the destruction of our environment and mankind. Increased
pollution and development of atomic bombs are direct examples of this.
Care must be taken to avoid the misuse of science and technology. Science
should be directed in a proper manner for the wellbeing of mankind.
